[up]Just something Iím curious about. Considering the Dollmaker is clearly a keeper with 18 [tup], and 0 [tdown], who gets to do the write up? Beast who original proposed him? Bobg who re-proposed him? Or you who edited the proposal?

I only tweak (unless it's my own proposal, of which I have a handful). Beast probably should, since he proposed it; if he doesn't want to, bobg can; if HE doesn't want to, I guess anyone who's seen that ep can.

Alright, here's my write up for Hear Me Roar Joffrey.

  • King Joffrey Baratheon: After a failed attempt at stealing the One Ring from the Shire he is captured by goblins and makes a deal with them to give them gold and land in exchange for deposing Tywin and restoring him to power. He takes sadistic joy in tormenting the goblins under his command as he leads their army through the Westerlads pillaging, killing, and eating those in his way. When ambushed he orders the wounded left behind so they don't slow his army down and the rest of the goblin army execute them as they march by. When he takes Casterly Rock he promises a group of people still resisting inside that include his brother Tommen and a few of his cousisn that they will be allowed to go free to if they surrender and threatens to cut out their tongues if they interrupt him. When Jamie's army arrives and begins planning to retake Casterly Rock he threatens to execute them if Jamie doesn't surrender and threatens to feed them to his goblins if they don't remain quiet, struggling not to laugh as they suggest eating Tommen. His real intent however is to use them as part of a plan to murder Jamie and the other leaders when they meet under a flag of truce. Joffrey uses Tommen as a hostage to try and escape from Jamie threatening to kill him if he prevents his escape. When Jamie tries to talk him down and confesses the truth of his parentage to him he tries to murder him to keep it a secret and threatens to kill him and everyone else who refuses to obey him before Jamie pushes him to his death.

If no one steps forward to write-up Dollmaker in the next day or so, I'll do it. Been a while since I've seen his episodes (Gothams not exactly high up on my "Want to rewatch" list), but I recall them pretty good, and can use the effortpost as a refresher.

But seriously, anyone else who wants to do it, go ahead. Seriously. Please.

"What did we decide for the MLP and Pokemon fan works stuff?"

Did we decide to implement a rule that fanfic villains only count if they're believable in the work's heinous standard?

[up][up] I think conversation on that escalated to a point where we just kind of cut off to calm down. For that particular rule... I think there was some yeas and nays to it.

Since I remember being the one who originally brought up Gotham!Dollmaker back in season one, I thought I might as well give a write up I had in mind.

  • Gotham: Dr. Francis Dulmacher AKA the Dollmaker is soft spoken surgeon who works with rich clients and mastermind of human trafficking for the purpose of organ harvesting for his experiments. He takes them to his facility on a private island where he keeps them hostage with his hired thugs, who he'd often send to carry out his abductions. Early in the season, he sends two of his lackies to abduct street children to such a fate, using charity as a lure. When his plan is exposed and the children are sent into protective care, he tries to have his lackies hijack the convoy. Partway through the season, crime boss Fish Mooney finds herself in Dulmacher's clutches, he intends to take her eye, and later shows what happens to those who fail or cross him; he shows her his former lackies disasembled and reassembled with female parts.

So question for anyone who reads a lot of DC, or at least watched Young Justice. There was a fanfic I've been reading that I've thought about bringing up an example from later when I can but I had a question about whether or not a character in the source material/other continuities has agency as it draws on a lot of different ones. The fanfic's version certainly seems to but I'm somewhat hesitant to propose it when I can because I'm not that familiar with the source material.

[up] I don't know about his agency, but I could see him counting.

At least Klarion is supposed to be a villain and I rather discuss him in a fan fic rather then discussing some story where freaking Twilight Sparkle is turned into a Serial Killer.

I am more familiar with the animated Klarion then the comic book one and I guess the stumbling block regarding his agency is his age. I'm not sure how to address that and comic books can often change character's direction depending on the writer, adding to the confusion. I can only link his wiki page to provide clarification.

Lok Sat has 5 [tup] votes. Still needs to be resolved.

Scott Dunn's effort post comes tomorrow.

@Overlord: How exactly would a character's age be an agency issue? We have at least three CM kids.

@futuremoviewriter: A five-vote lead is enough to qualify.

[up] Children don't have the same moral capacity as adults, its why they are not held to same standards as adults in society.

That being said Klarion is a witch boy, so he may not be comparable to normal children, who knows what his real age is.

Well I have finished binge watching Breaking Bad, and may I say it is indeed one of the best TV shows of all time!

Well, may I ask have you ever discussed Todd on this effort post? Im asking this because I know you guys talked about his uncle, Jack Welker, since I see his write up on the CM page.

Can you guys send me a link to where you guys had this discussion?

Anybody else want to weigh in though?

[up][up] I think we had a long and divisive discussion on Todd and in the end he was vcut due to heinious and moral agency standards, but the vote was close.

Here is a link to the Todd discussion:
