Fair enough. I don't think Louis can pull it off, though, because in reality he's too nice to be smug and funny.

Really? I've already said that Lewis's list fits Linkara's character (and his "you guys are looking out for me" at the end was really quite nice) and I'll admit I liked Critic's first list more than his second - partly because Douchey was even more annoying the next time around - but I didn't get that. Then again, I can't really remember the second list's mistakes other than the autism one.
I'm not talking about how it fits their characters and whatnot. I'm talking about the fact that the lists are not about screw-ups. It's not a screw-up for Linkara when vindicative Maxx fans think he hates their object of fandom.
I'd like a video where Louis talks about his own shortcomings, not the shortcomings of his fans.

My bad, my apologies. He could have put something else in there, you're right, like those frigging list choices weren't really needed in the first Top 11 Critic Fuck-Ups (psst, Doug, subjective opinions are subjective), but the majority of the picks were legit. I think, anyway.

I am well aware he is an act, I was explaining why people would get offended over the economics thing, Color Printer.

Read my stories!...yeah, count me among the people who felt this was less "Here's what I did wrong" and more "Here's why you're wrong about thinking I was wrong." He did point out some actual mistakes, but most of the video was just him shouting at his fans over differences of opinion.
I also thought the bit about Europe went on too long and came off as too vitriolic. I suppose that's because politics can bring out the worst in people - I should know, I was one of the people bitching at him about the tax comment in the first place. :/ I wish he'd just leave politics out of his reviews altogether, because even when I agree with him (which is often) it takes me out of the review.
Come to think of it, that's the main reason I don't watch the Distressed Viewer's videos, and the Chick is starting to wear on me as well, even though I'm in agreement with both of them maybe 95% of the time.

He shouldn't have to apologize for his accent. Given that we share a state I have no problem with his pronunciations of course, but still...
It's odd, though. He has done positive reviews from time to time. Wouldn't it be nice if he did a good comic for a fifth week event once a quarter?
Why do people keep asking him to review manga? It's like those morons who ignore the Nostalgia Critic's definition of "nostalgia."
Especially because he's one of the two explicitly not-manga guys in Inked Reality. So it's not like they don't have other options.
I find the whole idea of demanding reviews absurd. You know your opinion of a work, you don't need it read back to you with some jokes thrown in, and if it turns out Linkara disagrees with you you're probably going to end up with He Panned It Now He Sucks.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.yes, he titled it a Screw-Ups video, but he said that this was issues that his fans had with him. from the perspective of the people posting the comments, these are times he's screwed up. I liked the video. it came off as honest, and while the piece on Europe was long, it didn't seem vitriolic at all.
I don't see what there was to be offended about in his address of the European issue, and that's speaking as someone who thought his original comment in the Batman: Fortunate Son review was annoyingly political. He clarified his intent, that it was supposed to be a jab at the comic's stupid logic and not at Europeans, and what's more, he gave an actual apology. I was afraid he might end up going with one of those not-really-apologies ("I'm sorry you were offended"), but no, it was a genuine one.
Sort of a cross post from the Spoony thread.
I know Insano is sort of Linkara's arch-enemy, but I've never actually SEEN the videos where this fighting took place. Can someone link or help me out?
Read my stories!

I dunno, Clarkson, for instance, is both over-the-top hilarious AND genuinely smug.
