Soleil Belmont is a fetus in adventure 1 and a man in adventure 2 so Chris is definitely going a bit grey by then. Probably enough to portray him as the Badass Grandpa of the clan if there's ever a cross timeline Crisis Crossover.
Bleye knows Sabers.I still love the irony that, when Christopher was younger, the Vampire Killer whip was really weird and constantly degraded in power whenever he got hurt in Castlevania: The Adventure. And I always wondered what was up with that, especially from a gamedesign perspective. Did no one at Konami stop and realize that this was a terrible Scrappy Mechanic?

Free Castlevania Anniversary Collection Update Will Give People Japanese Variants
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. The collection's menu's summary of Kid Dracula's plot adds a very nice detail to the continuity.
Kid Dracula not only slept for 10,000 years, but declares himself the king of the world once he awakens. Even if he is an arrogant brat, this would seem like a really unusual thing for the son of Dracula to do...
...unless Dracula genuinely is no longer around. Which fits my WMG on the subject.
(The menu also refers to Christopher's son as Soleil. I'm really beginning to wonder which spelling is more canonically correct.)
Between the lack of button mapping and weird emulation problems (including Castlevania 1 crashing in parts), I think I'll wait until till some kind of patch fixes its issues before I get it.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Same. I'd ratherwait for the fix patch as opposed to the patch that adds Japanese versions.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowAlright: if you could make an ultimate Dracula Slaying part out of any three or four characters in the Castlevania series (with the lone caveat that you have to have at least one Belmont, and you choose if they are using the chain or Leather Whip), who would you choose?
This even includes the non-canon games and other source material, like the random manga and novels that have been written.
My group:
- Sonia Belmont (likely to the surprise of no one, considering how much I bring her up) using the chain whip (more specifically since I also keep bringing it up, the the Combat Cross incarnation of the Vampire Killer);
- Shanoa, mostly for her wider variety of abilities via Glyphs;
- Cornell, but his wolf form resembles his Castle Vania Judgment look, cause that look is baller.
I'd love to go with a pure mage character, but I not sure which one to take. All the relevant mages in the franchise are female except from some random dude from gamebook according to the Characters page for Castlevania, and I want to keep it equal in gender (which is an admittedly thing with me).
Said random dude is Zouk Belnades, an obvious ancestor of Sypha.
Anyway, those are my choices. Do you guys got anyone you'd like to see?
One Strip! One Strip!I guess I would choose... Juste, Nathan and Simon.
I imagine it would be pretty cool to see (1) combinations of Juste's Spellbook + Subweapon skills and Nathan's DSS cards.
As well as (2) Simon showing them that sometimes all you need is the basics to kick ass... As well as acting as a bit of a "Back In My Days!"-grandfather about it.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Julius with the chain because he's the most powerful Belmont, Soma because he's Dracula, and Charlotte because her magic is dope.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Honestly that group's probably mine too. Cornell's probably the closest you are going to get to a main tank in the series, there's not much in the way of heavily armored knight types to choose from.

Bleye knows Sabers.I like Julius and all, but why does everyone keep saying he's the strongest Belmont? I mean, the reason he was able to permakill Dracula was because someone trapped the castle in an eclipse, and I don't think Julius did that all by himself.
Also, I like to think that Alucard and the Belmonts and the Belandeses, and I guess also the church, they all knew Dracula was coming in 1999, so they went out and got a bunch of specialists to help them permakill Dracula, including the Ghostbusters.
I mean, I think I do recall hearing that Julius was pretty strong, but that'd be more by default since he's the first Belmont to wield the whip since Richter, who was the biggest badass in the Belmont yard at the time.
Edit: Well, there's the Golem from LOS who's a literal armoured Black Knight, but you aren't wrong.
I'd still like to find a fourth character as a mage, but then it'd be a gender imbalance....though then again, maybe that's not so bad considering there usually is a male to female gender imbalance anyway.

One Strip! One Strip!I'd go for a party of Julius/Richter, Shanoa, Alucard, and Judgement!Cornell. Maybe replace Cornell or Alucard with Charlotte to get a pure mage in there.
Julius' strength mostly comes from the stupid bullshit he does in the Sorrow duology, despite going all "I'm too old for this shit y'all, I'll just leave it up to the next generation."

"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterJulius, Soma and Maria.
Julius is the best Belmont, Soma is an arguably even stronger Alucard, and Maria is cool.
Julius's Grand Cross shakes the foundation of the castle and he fought Soma, a young, super powerful incarnation of Dracula, to a standstill well past his prime after suffering a bout of amnesia.
Guy was probably beastly back in 99.

Julius vs Maria, truly the battle of the ages.
"No will to break."I'll have Richter, Charlotte, Eric and Henry, myself
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI kinda want one of the Lecarde sisters but choosing one over the other just seems like missing the point.
Bleye knows Sabers.Sisters are like subweapons. One's great to have with you, but it's always nice to have another just in case.
"No will to break."I suppose picking Soma's out of the question, given that he is Dracula. Having Dracula slay himself seems kind of weird.
I'd actually go with the Nintendo 64 Castlevania team: Reinhardt Schneider (main fighter with a bit of the Paladin), Carrie Fernandez (mage), Cornell (monk with transformation), and Henry (gunner).

Disgusted, but not surprisedNah, to me Soma is totally the type of person who would go "I'll kick anyone's ass! I'll even kick my own ass!".
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.x7 It's worth noting that he did that while holding back. He didn't just shake the foundation, either, he made a part of the castle that was quite a ways away crumble. He's also an absolute monster in his own modes, for whatever that's worth.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
Julius held back cause he wasn't sure just how much Soma was... Soma and how much Soma ws Drac and how much Drac was he's usually bastard self

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!
Yeah, and Soma could tell because...well could he not? He's gotten his ass beat by enough Belmonts (Julius included) to know how they fight.
Whatever the case, Julius does seem pretty strong, even in old age. We have to assume he's either not lost much power since then, or he was much more powerful in his youth.
One Strip! One Strip!
and if artwork for Belmont's Revenge is to be believed, dude's also pretty old when he goes kicking Drac's ass again.
