Didn't we see this game already with this kid in Ferguson (or was it more than one)? That some commentators would dredge up some conviction or search for some minor crime in the victim's past that is in no way, shape or form germane to the shooting under discussion?

Breaking news of a police officer being attacked by a man in Sendai City in a koban. Another officer shot him dead because he was armed with a knife and used it to kill one of them after the suspect said that he was there to claim a lost item.

Mexico right? I think something similar is happening in Rio, as more and more of the police duties in the favelas were being taken over by the military.

In the case of Acapulco, the Federal Police justified the raid by concerns/information that the cartels may have moles within the rank and file or were easily bought off as snitches.

My friends in the force were surprised the cutout score was that high, it is usually around 70 and 75%, but at 80%? I am sure most of the contestants got disqualified.
I've met just a few that scored 80% or higher, most I've seen scored between 70% and 77.5%.

I am just glad I got squarely, if barely, into the right side of the cut.
I am still waiting for the São Paulo MP results, but since I passed what is practically the hardest part of the tests, the chances of me passing the rest are fairly high.
Besides, I've never stopped working out so the Physical Test still something I can do smoothly.

I have a question about police tactics. In Hawaii Five-0 two police officers (OK, a special squad) are looking for a murderer in a remote and seemingly empty house with no reinforcements in the dead of night. Since there is no electricity one of them goes to look for the electric panel while the other descends into a cellar to look for the murderer.
Now Hawaii Five-0 isn't meant to be realistic much less a slasher flick but is that sound police tactics? IMO that would be an open invitation for an ambush.

Two officers by themselves typically wouldn’t split up, but a larger group would.
Of course, it also depends on the situation. Splitting up is done sometimes for certain situations. For a situation like that with a suspect presumed armed and dangerous I highly doubt it though. Also, officers carry flashlights, and the issue with the lights might not be related to or solvable from the electrical panel. They actually tell you not to do things like look for a switchbox in a dark house and just use your light.
Being ambushed is one thing, but it’s just hard to effect an arrest on your own. You’d be surprised how many officers it can take to bring down a determined suspect, it’s really not like how it is in the movies.

So the guy admitted he had just taken drugs and was suffering from the effects of an O.D. And the deputies laughed at him and considered sending a video of his suffering to his girlfriend whom he mentioned.

My question would be, "How many others have they abused in similar ways?"
Because you don't pull something like that as a group as a one-time thing. I suspect a few other "unfortunate mishaps" occured under their watch. They just were not caught, since they likely successfully covered them up. Probably because they got lucky rather than cunning.
