That's actually makes me think of a different trope. I can't remember it, but it involves getting stuck with a weapon and then pulling yourself along it to reach your opponent.
Fight smart, not fair.Since everyone has two kidneys it can't be about abnormal aliens who have redundant biology. It must mean something like being able to give up a kidney because you have two of them.
Is it about organ donors?
Huh... I see. It's about letting yourself take serious injury in order to win.
Well that was my second guess.
Since it seems somewhat healthy maybe we should just try to find a good redirect.
I Have Two Kidneys = Take a hit in order to gain a combat advantage.
What the title ACTUALLY sounds like, though, (to me) is that you take severe damage, then keep fighting in a determinatoresque way. Possibly leading to an Oh, Crap! moment. Rather than intentionally taking the damage, as part of your plan.
That seems to me the biggest part of it that needs to be fixed.
I thought it had to do with volunteering a spare organ to save a dying relative. Almost a stock phrase in medical shows. I kind of like Deliberate Injury Gambit
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Rename crowner attached. Have at it!
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Tentatively looking like it's in favor. Anyone have any additional new name suggestions before I make an alternate names crowner?
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Destiny Bond? That's the attack in Pokemon where if your opponent knocks you out on their next attack, you take them down with you.
I just made a alternate names Crowner. Can a mod please attach?

^Not actually my favorite animal.Good lord, how many different names do we need?
Anyway. I like Deliberate Injury Gambit the most; it doesn't even need a description.
There's a saying in the martial arts, which I believe entered Western knowledge from the Chinese via Bruce Lee, which goes roughly
"Let your opponent graze your skin as you smash into his flesh. Let him smash into your flesh as you break his bones. Let him break your bones as you take his life."
In that vein, it might be worth using something along the lines of Break Your Bones As You Take His Life.
I'm not sure how well known the saying is, I only know that I would have gotten it.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.I never head of the saying, but that would make a good page quote.
Found the full quote here: http://thinkexist.com/quotation/let-an-opponent-graze-your-skin-and-you-smash/354694.html
Deliberate Injury Gambit is in the lead. Is this enough to be considered consensus? Or should I wait a little longer before renaming the trope?
(Sorry for double post.}
^Not actually my favorite animal. It's been up for over a week and that one is not only on top, but unanimous. I'd say it's a go.
I've moved the main page and the discussion. I have not moved the subpages, checked the wicks or indexed the new name.
Crowner is locked, thread is locked. Thank you for finishing it up, fawn.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.

Yeah and yet all we have deliberate and hurts themselves which doesn't pin it down to this trope.
I say use the most common form: Pull Yourself Onto Their Sword.
