This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~JBriskin: I'm not sure how to make it clearer that you aren't going to be unsuspended again. You've demonstrated to us that you're not actually learning from your previous talks with us here, so we have no reason to believe that you will play by the rules because you've claimed you will and then failed to before.
Now if you keep being passive-aggressive about it we may have to remove your ability to post entirely.

I didn't mean for it to be a complaint about "right-wing assholes", though I do get why it came across that way. It was more of a general complaining about people making stupid criticisms of the Black Panther movie since I was under the impression the film was hit by a considerable amount of hype backlash.
Also The Cosmonaut Variety Hour is not a right-wing asshole channel.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound passive-aggressive. I genuinely want to be able to keep posting on this site, and I had hoped that if I complied instead of continuing to appeal, then the moderators would eventually decide whether or not I should be allowed.

Septimus Heap, what I did wrong was this: Edit war over RWBY Volume 8's ending, thinking it should've been a Downer Ending instead of "Ray of Hope" Ending, as well as in Sliding Scale of Endings, where I tried to add "Ray of Hope" Ending under Downer Ending. I probably should've discussed this or did Ask the Tropers.
Because I have answered the way you wanted, is it okay to un-suspend me?

I would like to appeal my suspension because I want to apologize for my recent edit of Kamen Rider BLACK in the YMMV page for the Overshadowed by Controversy trope due to an accidental grammar error and I promise that I will be careful next time.
I promise that the next time I will edit in tvtrope, I will be more careful next time in order to prevent myself from getting into trouble and to avoid myself from getting banned if I continue to make anymore grammar mistake in my future edits

and given their sheer extent and the somewhat clumsy grammar in your appeal post, I don't feel comfortable with simply lifting the suspension. You'll need to run your edits through this thread for a while.

I mostly just meant to complain about people who act like Black Panther only got good reviews because it would somehow be racist to pan it. Again, I understand if these forums would rather not revisit that.

If you're just going to justify your problem edits, all that'll do is move your ban closer to permanent. The point of appealing a ban is to acknowledge what you did wrong and find ways to avoid making the same mistake again.
Also, editors with a Single-Issue Wonk that affects their edits have a very high recidivism rate.

I see. I apologize for that mistake. I did not mean for that to happen. I admit I was impulsive. However I did not wish for anything malicious regarding that. I had jumped to conclusions based on what I had heard across a few forums. I posted it without fully confirming the facts. I am sorry for that.

I was suspended from edits fairly recently. I'm not saying there's no chance I messed up somewhere, but I would like to know why this is, specifically.
I just noticed that I was suspended. Was it because of my edit warring on Adventure Time?
I apologize for my previous mistake. I had no intention of causing a war on that part. Is there anything I can do to make up for it?
