This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Hello, I noticed I got a suspention, but I haven't received any messages. What's the reason behind it?
I assumed it might have been because of the launching of "Master Forger", since I didn't contribuited to the trope during its editing (although in the discussions the editor said it was free for launching for anybody who wanted) and I didn't do the crosswick. On that, I wanted only to work with caution in on it, since I wasn't sure right away how to correctly add the examples, in which sections, how to edit them, etc...
Or is there another reason? Thanks in advance.

I am being suspended, again. Was it because of the Zero Context thing? And also am I permanently suspended?
You see I’m trying to edit a deleted page only to get a message that I am suspended. I already have contexts for two tropes and I know what to write on the descriptions. Could it be because of this, too? I’ve also added a deleted page now with contexts for tropes and descriptions, too.

Know what's really weird? Being banned on the forums, and having that carried over into Ask The Tropers and trope discussion pages. Did you guys intend that to happen when updating this site?

I can't view the TLP discussion because of the ban, but I remind some people along the last posts claiming that the Trope was free to launch for anybody. Or did I seriously misunderstood what they meant?

Oh damn, I forgot about that one. I meant to add context for Darker and Edgier but at that time I was busy reviewing other pages as well. I’ll be more careful next time.

I guess I'm confused about what more time is going to solve that the last month or so hasn't.
I was being sincere when I said that I'd like my suspension from Projects to be released, and for you guys to consider that a good decision. The one is kind of useless without the other. If you were to release my Projects suspension tomorrow, I wouldn't want to go back to posting in the Unreleased Works Speculation Cleanup thread without more of a conversation than we've had. Because to be honest I'm still not feeling super confident in my understanding of what you'd expect from me once I'm back there.
I've given you a bullet-point list of actions I've already taken (and fully intend to maintain if released) to address your concerns. Apparently that's not enough. Okay, fine. What are we missing? Let's talk about it. I don't see how another three weeks of silence is going to solve this. Talking might. So let's talk.

~gc10: It seems that the OP was allowing anyone to launch, but when someone who never participated does the honors, it's hard for us to determine that it wasn't "yet another rogue launch". It would have helped if you gave notice beforehand.

I’m guessing not adhering to my low salt diet is what got me suspended from private messaging. I promise to cut out all the salt this time. And like I said, while I think it’s better to explain on the characters page, I’ll add descriptions to the main page.

~Frag Wall: It doesn't seem like you have learned from your mistakes. After I released your suspension in April, you did improve some of the work articles we discussed, but you continued adding zero-context examples and creating more stub work pages (like From The Fatherland With Love) despite being warned about it by other tropers.
You seem to think you're doing a valuable service by creating articles for works that we don't have on the wiki. This is true, and indeed we are grateful for it, but unless you do the work properly, you're just forcing people to follow along behind you cleaning it up.
If this were a first offense, it'd be one thing, but you kept doing it after promising to improve. I don't think this is going to work out.

May I please edit again? I'll add descriptions for the Shivers page, and I concede that I haven't read many of the books so there aren't many tropes I can add for the characters (though I still plan on making a Characters page for the ones I am familiar with), meaning it's better to explain on the main one.

So this is my second suspension. First time was for stubbornly going against a consensus in Ask The Tropers years ago. Now for repeated rudeness (of which I acknowledge is ironic, given I have gotten another troper suspended a month ago for exactly that).
There's hardly any excuse from me here. I should stop with the hostile and snippy edit reasons, especially when I am in no position to do so. "Backseat Modding", as Arsenal_Gear correctly pointed out the issue with me.
