This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules
apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't spam the thread about your appeal, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Good, that's all we wanted to hear. Your suspension is released.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"My editing privileges got suspended following a bad edit that I didn't realize was bad until after the edit was made. I first noticed the suspension when I tried to go back and fix the mistake, not realizing that the mistake had already been fixed.

Complete Monster is a moderated trope. No examples of it may be listed without establishing consensus in the cleanup topic
. Look in the "never again" section in the FAQ and you'll see that Turbo is listed there.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Now I know that. To my knowledge, this was the first time I'd ever made an edit involving the CM trope, so I didn't really know what to expect or had any reason to think I'd have to check for selection criteria other than the fact that it was a YMMV trope. That in itself wasn't a huge tipoff either.
The answer to life and everything is in this place As are the numbers most favored by Two FaceYeah, it's somewhat tricky to find out that information. Anyway, since your edit was not malicious, I'll restore your privileges.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hey, How about this?
- Zen in Mystic Messenger has waist-long white hair bound in a low ponytail and is very attractive, so much he admires himself and takes many selfies. He also has many admirers. (Mostly female). It also helps that Jaehee comments how handsome he is, and even Yoosung is jealous of his good looks.

I'm still waiting on to be unbanned. Also I read at a 4th grade level.
So can you show me how to make a tv tropes page, but in small in and simple words.
Okay, how about this? "No, you can't edit the wiki."

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"This is the third time you're trying to appeal. Remember that our patience is thin.
Do we really need to repeat ourselves? To prove that you read our previous responses to your appeal, can you explain what got you here and what you would do differently? If you cannot, then we have no place for you here.
~Jess 0312, you're good to go. Make sure to put a similar effort with context for all future edits.
I'm sorry about what I did on the US Politics board. I was just fed up with those militia nutcases. I've calmed down now, and been fine everywhere else. Can you please turn posting and Private Messages back on for me? Or at the very least, just disable posting for me only the On-Topics Conversation section and reactivate posting for me everywhere else as well as Private Messages?
I was suspended because of my bad gramma I sorry about it was just trying to add new information and can you unsuspend me
~Mark Gib: Clearly not, because you kept doing the bad grammar in that post. If you won't even make the effort, then we cannot let you edit.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The PM System lock has also created a big problem for me, as I now have a new message in my inbox due to it being my first time posting on Frequently Asked Questions, but I can't access my inbox to read it and make it not new anymore, so I'm stuck with the green bar saying "You have 1 new message(s) in your inbox." over every page I go to and a red box with a one in it next to my profile that I can't do anything about. You should at least be able to still read P Ms with the lock, just not be able to reply to them.
I am sorry it was just the first time for me to add these big information
Bye.
~Fire Crawler 2002: We're discussing your case. The recidivism rate for OTC violators is extremely high, and you had quite a few warnings. The assertion that you've calmed down is nice and all, but what's to say you won't get set off again in the near future?
The issue with not being able to read PMs while PM-suspended is one we're aware of and have in the queue to get fixed.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
I'll just avoid US Politics, from now on. Not to mention after the whole shooting of a Republican congressman, I've realized that aggression is not the answer.
I hate that I can't edit posts here while posting is disabled. I worded that last post badly. What I mean is after that GOP Congressman got shot by that psycho a few days ago, I realized violence is not the answer to this problem, and have stopped with aggressive posts.
I was banned early in January after only one forum post. I was marked as a spammer/troll (I think) and got banned. My post was a promotion for [Dungeon Defense](www.novelupdates.com/series/dungeon-defense/)
([T Vtropes page](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/DungeonDefense))
. As at the time of posting, I could not find a T Vtropes page for the Light Novel. I intended to persuade people on the forums to read it, so that a page could be made (new user and didn't—and still don't know how to create pages for novels—so I decided to raise awareness of the novel in the community). I got banned/suspensions placed on my account.
I never appealed since then, because I wasn't sure how effective it would be to appeal/whether it is worth appealing on a forum which bans you after you make only one post (I'm neither a spammer or troll either), My post wasn't even spam; it was a promotion for a novel I love (and am in no way connected to its production) because T Vtropes seemingly didn't have a page for the novel then (if it did, I couldn't find it).
I think I was dealt with unfairly by the administration, and I am not sorry as I have no knowledge of any crime I committed. I appeal, as I want to fix the Dungeon Defense page.
TV Tropes is not here for you to shill work.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Ugh, and now someone else decided to PM me while my PM system is disabled...
~Fire Crawler 2002, we have always taken violent talk seriously. The fact that you made these comments at the same time as a real life incident only highlights very well why we do so.
There is no grey area here. If you begin to speak in such a way again, you will not be welcome in our forums. Do you understand?

Here's the full story. Sometimes, I've copied and pasted the text of articles into a word processor and made the punctuation "smart." That was absolutely what I did the last time I edited The Matrix page. Other times, however, I've collected the "smart" punctuation, put it in my search bar, and altered bits more carefully as not to screw up emphasis.
Having gotten this notification, I will stick to editing in plain text on the wiki.
