This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Yeah. I need to be more careful and watch what I plan on adding to ensure I don't add anything that's natter or a justifying edit. Something I failed to do before. Plus I need to actually come here and talk about what I had done instead of trying to ignore it.

I readded Villain Sue? You mean it was there before? I didn't know that. Anyway, afterward I thought it's removal was entirely fair anyway, when I saw that it was gone, and I try my best to understand Repair Dont Respond and the The Ruleof Cautious Editing Judgment. It's just in this case, I thought it was apt. There was also that Sasuke thing as well on the YMMV.Naruto page I did. I'm glad that got removed too (was gonna do it myself). Anyway, I'm sorry for both of those, and Ill try to be more careful next time.

@Fighteer I did it because I disagreed with its inclusion on the NRLEP page, but for some reason, it didn't occur to me to discuss with soem tropers on whether or not it was okay for me to do so. But now I know better and I want to be given the chance to redeem myself from that action.

They don't have a set expiration date. They end when you've convinced us that you understand what you did wrong and that you're not going to repeat the behavior.
In your case, you have a severe problem with adding Natter to pages and the line you added to Sexual Harassment and Rape Tropes was extremely questionable, especially with the edit reason "dang feminists."

You have been Edit Warring with k9feline5 not on one, but three pages. When s/he restored the example you removed, you resorted to Justifying Edits to contest them.
The correct course of action is to take a contested example to the discussion page, not try to get around it through Justifying Edits.
The fact that you came to Ask The Tropers after this many edit wars doesn't impress me very much.

As much as I'd like to blame stress IRL from the last few weeks, I'll admit that I f'ed up with the warring on the Shoot The Shaggy Dog Comic Books page and a few of the entries talking about that Harry Potter example.
I'll try to keep my head cooler in the future. If I've gotta take a suspension, I'll do it. I was acting like a dick.

Thanks. To tell the truth, I acutally forgot about Ask The Tropers until that STSD entry kept getting relisted. I will try to use it more in the future.

So what I did wrong was:
- Argue for several posts, when I should just have written my piece, let others have their say, and reply just when I have something new to add.
- Nitpick irrelevant points to a topic, when I should just drop it or discuss that in private messages.
- Got excessively rude or snarky in some posts (which I really wish I had edited and apologized for soon after).
- Assumed some were being rude to me, when often it was misunderstanding what others meant. So I should ask what someone means, and even if it does turn out that poster actually is being rude, I should just report the rudeness and move on.
- Kept posting in the forums when I was in a bad mood. That is almost never a good idea.

I apparently have an edit ban in YKTTW, but I don't know why.
I rarely visit the forums to avoid the cynicism ooze.I've been under suspension for what I think has been a few weeks. I'm honestly not sure what I did wrong. Can someone explain it to me?

I was just told I was banned but I do not know what I did wrong, in the past weak I have edited 2 pages, one was adding Girls Bravo to Role Association anime (which I am having trouble getting some of the links to work). The other was adding several tropes to the page of the game show Double Dare 1986 which included youtube links which I thought was allowed if you also explain the example which I did. Neither of these things should get me banned could you please explain why this happened and what I need to do to be able to edit again.
I was also in a bit of an argument with a moderator known as Lu127 because she removed some works from the Double Standard Rape: Female on Male that explored the issue however I did not restore any of them because of her status, if this is the reason why I was banned you might want to look into abuses of power by her (I hope it is not and this whole thing as an unfortunate coincidence)

Your suspension is because your edits have obvious, and in some cases quite major, errors in grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect errors of this nature to be the exception and not the rule.
All you had to do was come in and talk to us. The fact that you resorted to trying to bypass your suspension doesn't impress me very much.
Do you understand that Natter and Justifying Edits are best avoided?
