This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Wagahai: Here's the thing: I'm very concerned that you won't be able to stay away from the issues that got you in trouble. If I restore your editing privileges, you will officially be on a third chance. Those are very rare. I can absolutely guarantee you that there will not be another, so I recommend you not go near Firefly ever again. Clear? That's the only way I'm letting you edit again.

Sorry, I generally have problems with grammar, but if it's such a big deal, I'll try to keep it at a higher standard. And i promise to avoid the natter WORDS, however actually stopping natter might take some work, may i have a second chance? Heres a example

Restoring Image Links that were taken down with good reason.

This is about the Contemptible Cover page? I assumed they had been removed by some crank/bowdlerizer and put them back, being careful to leave out anything that could be considered remotely controversial.
The edits had made several of the examples unfollowable (eg. an example that refers to 'this image', with the link to the image removed), and all but one of the images removed were variations of drawings of girls in bikinis — not really scandalous material.
That the editor only objected to drawings-of-girls-in-bikinis-by-people-in-Japan, but not drawings-of-girls-in-bikinis-by-people-in-America, photographs of naked women or... some of the truly eyebrow-raising stuff in the music folder also makes me skeptical of the 'for good reason'.

As far as I can tell, all I'm actually guilty of is misunderstanding what's allowed in a YMMV page.
Seriously, since I've promised to be more circumspect, and to never repeat the actual mistake, it's starting to look like you're just not unbanning me because you disagree with my opinion.

@polutropon: Manga and Anime are at the top of the page. Thus when someone went through and started cleaning it for content policy violations, they started at the top. It looks like they got distracted and stopped part way through. The appropriate thing would have been to finish the work. Not just revert it.

Look, I'm a bit unfamiliar with how this whole thing works and I'm not even sure if I posted this correctly. Maybe the way I've went along has been a bit wrong and detrimental to the flow of some articles. I accept that. But I just don't understand how to properly take part. I didn't break the rules on purpose. I don't even know if it was one thing or a multitude of other things. It's not so much of wanting to know what I did wrong, but how do I get it right, and do it properly.
When we have damming evidence on our hands, lying to us and insulting the community is the worst thing you can do.
