This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules
apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't spam the thread about your appeal, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Hello, just wanted to know why I've been suspended and was wondering if I could have my rights to edit back at some point, if that's alright. Apologies if I've done anything wrong- if I have, it wasn't intentional.
~painocus: Is there a reason why you are arguing this? The kind of pedantry you're employing makes us suspect that you're going to try to rules lawyer your way around some future infraction.
~GF93: You removed the comment markup on some Zero Context Examples without adding context. That code is there for a reason.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ah, OK. Thanks for explaining- and apologies again for that as well. I didn't know it was causing any problems.

I'd like to have a full view of what exactly I did wrong and how, especially since the rules are unclear on this point. Isn't that the entire point of having this discussion anyways? Also I use the phrase "it should be noted" a lot when extrapolating a point in my daily speech and writing (for example: "Therefor he believed that the God of the Tanakh and the God of the Jesus were incompatible, but it should be noted that his theology did not otherwise conform with that of his contemporary Gnostics") so I want to be sure if I should put in an active effort to universally avoid the phrase.

~GF93: I'll release your suspension. Please be careful in the future.
~Painocus: Lots of people manage to understand the rules. I'm going to release your suspension, but I want you to ask if you find things unclear in the future.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hi, this is Juan Aditya.
I want to say I'm really apologize for what I did. A few days ago, I tried to make a redirect for Anti-Hero with "Anti-Heroine", in case when the character is female. Same thing also with Anti-Hero Substitute with "Anti-Heroine Substitute".
Once again, I'm really apologize for what I did and I'll make sure I never do the same mistake again in the future.
Looking forward for your respond. Thanks.

Death is the most worse punishment, but kept alive with a cruel mercy even worse than death.@Juan Aditya: Our problem is actually that you have very poor grammar. Even in your post here, you demonstrate a number of grammatical errors. You have been notified about this problem, but it doesn't seem to have fixed things.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI understand and I'm really aware with my grammar error.
Once again, I'm really apologize for what I done. I have to admit that English is my secondary language.
Death is the most worse punishment, but kept alive with a cruel mercy even worse than death. It's not something we can overlook. We require reasonably proficient English to edit the English part of our wiki. If you would like assistance, you can post here
to ask for proofreading help, but we won't release the suspension unless we believe you can write acceptably.
Okay, I'm sure this is the last time I'll be here with a chance to get unsuspended. I have been getting better with necroing and bumping. My edit history can speak for itself. The villains I roleplay also aren't creepy in a pedophillic or rapey manner anymore. As for the Room situation, those people have had beef from an earlier point in my time here: My WHABGF days. Also, I know I probably shouldn't have seemed to be so callous, but what they were discussing was an intense private manner that seemed a bit too heavy for a lolrandom thread like the room. I even went OOC to say I wanted things to get better. However, if unbanned, I will continue on the first 2 points and abstain from that room completely.

I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..~Piando: While I won't stay around for more than a quarter hour, please don't multipost here. It doesn't help.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell I'm ready when you are. What's gonna happen to me in Forum Games? And Another Thing...: When roleplaying, I'll be working on trying to get "Out of Character", especially in delicate situations like the one that got me banned.

I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Well?
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..I have a good idea of why I've been banned from editing, so I won't ask. But I would like to say that starting an edit war wasn't my intention, nor did I mean to come off as snippy in my reasons for editing/deletions. And I'm aware this is the second time I've been edit-banned. Sorry about that!
The point is, I'd like to edit again. Not those pages, though, I just won't go there.
~Sara Jaye: Edit warring and unjustified deletions on YMMV.Fire Emblem Fates, yes? "I don't agree" is neither a reason to delete YMMV entries nor to edit war.
~Piando: The only chance you have to come back to that side of the forum would be if you keep good forum behaviour elsewhere. In light of the large number of incidents and the previous bans, that will take some time of good record.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOk, for how long? And I can behave on that forum. I did for 3 months in a row. It's just that I've been having a really bad week, in real life and on here. I promise that all of this is just a fluke. How does 3 months of good behavior go out the window for 4 days? Look, it's a new medicine that makes me irritable. I promise to use the wiki sparingly when on it. And if I fail again, than you can just perma-ban me. Deal?

I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Yes, exactly, and it won't happen again. How long am I banned, just out of curiosity?
edited 13th Jan '16 6:26:40 AM by SaraJaye
Also, why am I banned from roleplaying? I don't even use that forum at all.
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..~Sara Jaye: You should know that we are much less lenient for second violations than for first ones. It establishes a pattern of behavior that is not self-correcting. If it does happen again, there will be no more chances. Is that absolutely clear?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"~Piando: No, you just use Forum Games to ridiculous excess. Look, you've admitted to emotional instability under medication. Your age aside, you've displayed a degree of immaturity recently that makes it very hard to credit any promises you might make to reform.
I worry that you have become unhealthily fixated on this site's forums. If I were you, I'd ask a responsible adult to monitor me so I don't become addicted.
If we do let you off the hook again, it's going to be with the understanding that one more screwup means you're out. No exceptions, no rationalizations, no arguing. Is this in any way unclear?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well, isn't that the Tagline of the site?
Joking aside, I understand completely. No more chances.
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..

Based on just the written rules I did not know this was considered natter in-on-itself, just that it was bad formatting and often used in natter. Thanks for the clarification. This is the kind of answer I have been wanting all along.
""It should be noted" is Word Cruft that often indicates natter."
So my belief that this does not itself technically constitute natter (even if it is a Word Cruft and a phrase often used in natter) is correct then?
