This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

I've been suspended for about a week now and would really like to get back to editing. I'm going to make sure my formatting is better when I edit in the future so as not to create a lot of sloppy, awkward pages (and of corse I'll keep the bad attitude down). Please let me know if there's anything else I need to do before the suspension is lifted.

Well this will be my last post in this thread, since nobody has replied to pretty much anything I've said. I don't want to keep bothering you all with my ramblings, since I'm thinking you would've gotten to them if you were interested.
1. If someone would just look over exactly what caused the dispute between the mods and I, it would be clearly evident that I was the one trying to quell hostilities. At numerous points I said we should stop arguing and coexist, because I refuse to change my stance just as I saw they weren't willing to change theirs.
2. I never attacked anyone there. It's okay when certain users attack me though, apparently. I wouldn't even report any of those posts. I just assumed he was getting into the debate at hand, so I just said maybe don't be a dick because I could be one too. Of course, I didn't resort to insults and the like.
3. After reading my posts over, I can see that I was clearly annoyed, but boy did I try not to insult anyone (and I didn't), even when they were insulting and attacking me.
4. For the first time I was "banned", it was noted that everyone in the thread was at fault. I was the one banned, and I had no reason to argue it, but I did carry out my promise and never went there again. I'm really only trying to get back here to talk to my friends in the Bleach and the DC Extended Universe Discussions.
To the mods: I get that what you do is stressful, but all I'm asking for is to be treated with some courtesy. I'm not at all aggressive to the mods and I have clearly and calmly explained this stuff to quite a few mods several times over the past few months (and I'm grateful to those mods for hearing me out via P Ms), but when I post in this thread I'm met with a curt attitude that I see thrown at so many other users that also post in this thread. It shouldn't be "guilty until proven innocent."
We're all adults here, or very impressionable young minds, so don't be so discourteous to people that want to be here so much they're willing to sit here and explain themselves. Assume good will, is what I'm saying.

So it seems I was edit banned over an Edit War to the YMMV page for Sonic Adventure. Is this correct?
If so, I did not deliberately intend to start an Edit War and I was simply confused about a few things. First off, I was used to Wikipedia's three revert rule, so being edit banned over a single revert caught me off guard. If I had known that, I would have taken my issue to the discussion page, and will do so in the future. Secondly, I was only told that my edit was natter, but I was unsure of why my edit constituted natter. From my perspective, I merely wanted to add additional context to the Awesome Music section, to explain what made the music particularly special. Again, I understand that reverting the edit was the improper response, I will bring up such confusion to the discussion page next time, and I promise not to make the same mistake again.
If the suspension was regarding another issue, I would like to know what it was.

What you added to YMMV.Sonic Adventure was Natter in its literal sense: comments tacked onto an example. Wikipedia would say the same thing: if there is an error or omission in an entry, fix it.

Tropes are not racist. They are tropes. On TV Tropes, we describe things as they are, not as we think they should be. We can note racist connotations, to be sure, but it is not our job to tell people that things are wrong.

I worded it wrong. It isn't that a person can "forget" to write a good example, it's that when one is browsing through YKTTW, sometimes you're in a hurry. Sometimes you just want to get a proverbial sticky note up onto the YKTTW blackboard so you or someone else can come back and turn it into a proper example.
I'm just confused as to why I'm getting the implication that each and every example in a YKTTW reply must be 100% ready to be copy-and-pasted into the first entry and then transcribed into the real page with no modification. The sponsor of the new trope can just ignore examples s/he deems to be insufficiently clear, just in case someone was in a hurry and slipped up. Why can't inadequate YKTTW entries just be ignored when the page is created, and if the creator of said entry really cared, they can make the proper entry on the real page later?

So for the specific example of expanding an Awesome Music entry beyond "the majority of the soundtrack qualifies", how would I go about with Repair Dont Respond? To me, such a statement omits why the music is considered awesome, and my intent was to fix that by adding more information, so how would I do so without it coming off as Conversation In The Main Page?
Also, what would it take for my suspension to be lifted?
I was wondering if I could post reviews and comments again.
