This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

@Twentington: Edit reasons like "What the fuck is wrong with you?". Many of them. I can't imagine why you think visitors to this wiki need to be abused by you in this fashion. Not the first time this has come up, either.
You anger management issues are your problem, not ours. We have no motivation to put up with these tantrums.

@dunerat: You don't seem to have any productive edits to make. All of your edit history that I checked is Conversation In The Main Page. That's not what the wiki is for.
I'll release your suspension on the condition that you run all your edits through this thread before making them until we judge that you've got the idea. If you fail to abide by this rule, you will be permanently banned.

#2581: I was really pissed the other day and was taking it out on people I shouldn't have. I'll make sure to watch it from now on.
But if I recall, this is the first time I was informed of rudeness in edit summaries. Seems most of my prior outbursts were in TRS, where I've mostly stopped posting.
And even if I had been warned about rude edit summaries before, I realize that it's really not a good thing to do, and I would really like to edit again. Again, I'll make sure to watch out for it.

Twentington, the issue here is that you seem to keep having rage fits despite getting in trouble for it. The wiki, the forums, they are all part of the site that we administer, and they do not exist in a vacuum. It strikes me that you've convinced yourself that they are separate, such that patterns of behavior exhibited in the two places are independent. We don't think so.
The point is that if you're going to keep flying off the handle at people, wiki-side, forum-side, or anywhere else, we won't abide it. We aren't here to be your conscience.

That's not how I see things at all. I acknowledge that the wiki and forum are part of the same site, and that behavior in one place reflects on the other.
The only recent outbursts wiki-side that I see are my edit summaries on Monday — which, again, I pointed out were the result of me being royally pissed at someone else and taking it out in the wrong place. I did the same thing on Wikipedia. Where else in recent history have I lashed out at someone, on the wiki or forums?
Either way, I'd like one last chance at the wiki. If you or someone else wants to watch me for a bit and let me know if I start relapsing, then go ahead. Despite my outbursts, I really enjoy contributing here, and I want one last chance to see if I can do it without lashing out.

Hi, I just tried to edit today and discovered I was banned. I realize now its probably for that edit I made to the Lil B page. Sorry, I meant it as an inside joke. Can I please edit again?
I know I have fits of rage, but I think it'd be more concerning if ALL my edits were rage-y, which is not the case. Again, most of my recent rage was due to me taking out non-wiki-related frustration in the wrong place.
My last editing block was due to me rage-ing in the TRS. And ever since my edit privileges were restored there, I've mostly backed off from TRS as a whole — and when I do post there lately, it hasn't been rage-y. If I can control myself now in TRS, I'm positive I can do the same on-wiki, and I'd like to prove it.

Today I noticed that I got a suspension from the wiki. I don't edit the wiki itself that often - last time was december 21st - so it may have been going on for some time already. But I still wonder why?
English is an international language, but it doesn't mean that everyone speak it on a daily basis.
