Why do you guys hate Despicable Me? It was a kid's movie, and didn't pretend to be anything else. That said, by the standard of this forum, Mega Mind was better.
Except for 4/1/2011. That day lingers in my memory like...metaphor here...I should go.Despicable Me would have been moderately amusing but ultimately forgettable movie if not for one thing. The minions.
Seriously, the little yellow guys made that movie.
Hate to nercro, but I finally saw Despicable Me. (It's been on my Netflicks list since it came to DVD, but Netflicks is, as I'm sure you all know, painfully slow with new movies.)
I happen to disagree. I loved Despicable Me. It was cute, heartwarming, and hilarious. I loved that they managed to cross the line twice with nearly all the visual gags. The Bilingual Bonus was nice as well.

We're going to spread this shit like Nutella. Now Disney's trying this type of film.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DI saw Despicable Me a couple months ago at the recommendation of a similarly picky friend, but alas, I found it underwhelming and disappointing. It just seemed to lag in too many parts and seemed to have a lot of, well, why I'm snooty about most non-Pixar CGI.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!I've seen them both. Despicable Me was okay, but ultimately I thought Mega Mind was more enjoyable. More enjoyable with better animation. Holy cow, I just couldn't stop gushing about the animation when I saw that movie.
Looking for some stories?I don't like either, but DM was better, and Wreck It Ralph will be the worst of the lot. What a ripoff...
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DI just assumed somebody at whoever owns Mainframe Entertainment didn't want a Re Boot TM infringement.
Wreck-It Ralph sounds nothing like Despicable Me or Megamind. Those took place in the real world. Wreck-It Ralph takes place in a video game.
If Wreck-It Ralph were similar to anything, it would be a cross between Toy Story and Tron.

And that's why they wouldn't want something that infringed on another company's trademarks, one which they had a less than amicable relationship with. Perhaps somebody there even sent them a letter saying "Hey guys, that name is a little close to ours" and thus the change.
Were you confused about what I was saying?

I thought you were saying that Mainframe Entertainment was making the movie. Disney is much, much bigger, so there's a chance they could get away with it.
BACK ON TOPIC: I think Depsicable Me and Mega Mind are equal.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DI like them both, though Mega Mind is more interesting, I don't even know the Despicable Me's name off the top of my head.
Despite both involving supervillains, these movies were trying to be very different things. I'm not sure they're really comparable outside vague concept-related reasons.
For the record, I'm actually one of those who preferred Despicable Me. I understand what Mega Mind was trying to be, but for me, most of it just... fell flat. In particular, I couldn't make myself like the main character at all.

Mega Mind was one of the best movies of 2010, and I didnt saw the other one.
