My President is Funny Valentine.Hundred. Percent. COMPLETION!!!◊
HF's Normal Ending is… almost happy I would say. It's much more of a Bittersweet Ending that the True End of course, but Sakura managed to continue living… more or less. So it's not that bad.
As for Last Episode… that… music at the end… <3 And Arturia <3 It's a nice surprise too to have an extended ending for Fate after everything is over. The loop is looped.
It's too bad that Taiga dies at the end though.
PS: at first I thought I had understood but now it bugs me… what did Shirō do with Roh Aius exactly? ò.Ô Did he put himself between Rider and Saber's attacks or something? Or did he project the shield from a distance, if that's even possible?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I don't know what you're smoking, but I want to have it.
It's happy for everyone but Sakura and she's not so broken that she can't take care of herself. She's certainly not happy, but she's not a suicidal wreck either.
Important characters who are happy: Rin. :V
Ilya dies in one year with her onii-chan dead, Sakura is too demented to really live her life and Shirou died.
Yeah, that's not happy.
Kotomine gets a happy end in both the True and Normal endings.
Read all of my fanfics!Rider should still be alive. Since all she wanted was for Sakura to live she should be okay. Ilya being dead isn't exactly loads better than her being alive but with nothing to do.
Thus, while Sakura stays Forever Alone in Normal Ending, Rider rides out into sunset and lives somewhere else freeloading on her prana supply?
My President is Funny Valentine.I guess so! Rider is never mentioned so far as I know. With Sakura's body being the way it is she can support a Servant easily without even noticing.
Okay, Rider probably wouldn't be super happy. My point is that the ending isn't as completely miserable as it seems.
Yeah, calling it "happy" is an overstatement but really, you can feel some sweetness past the bitterness. Everyone still alive around her is happy and her sister's grandchildren like her. As for Ilya, well, she dies shortly after no matter what happens so this end isn't much worse than the others for her.
I don't know for Rider though… I would have thought she would stay by Sakura's side even with Shirō dead. ò.Ô

<hasnotseentheendinginquestionandismakingsillyjoke>
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I don't think Rider is around in HF Normal, since she's never mentioned to be, and there's no reason for Sakura to really try to keep her. Even if she is, though, she won't be happy to see Sakura sad, and nor will Rin be. Plus, of course, Ilya and Shirou are dead, and everyone else is exactly the same or worse than they are in the True End.
It really is a depressing end, honestly, because no-one is really particularly well-off there, aside from Rin and she'd have been OK regardless.

She should, Rider cares too much about Sakura to just abandon her.
I always took the Normal ending as one of those She lived but She always waited for him to come back, Not the depressing she wasted away waiting, Just No one ever took his place for her.
IE in the vein Saber and Shirou's true ending -Waiting forever/Longing forever-
Granted it's still a bittersweet ending.

This is no time to bemoaning your fate. After all, "fate" is not the culprit here. That honor goes to your stubborn sense of self-worth.Pretty much this.
HF Normal is easily the worst out of all 5.
Wouldn't Fate be the worst ending? Saber dies, Shirou is unhappy and likely to end up as Archer, Ilya has a year to live, Rider is dead, Sakura is stuck with Zouken for another couple years at least and is almost certainly not going to see Shirou much in the future. Tohsaka will and we all know how thrilled about that Sakura will be. Most of the Servants didn't really get good sendoffs. Finally, Kuzuki lived. This is terrible.

Okay, Fate is the worst.
You guys seem to hate Kuzuki a bit too much.
That being said, yeah, Fate is a much sadder ending than it looks once you've played the other routes.
Though I'd argue that since Illya is going to die anyway, at least she gets to spend some time with people who treat her well before that happens; Sakura is still stuck under Zouken, but Shinji can't mistreat her anymore, and Zouken has lost his chance to use the grail(barring that huge battle that happens ten years later when Rin and Waver dismantle it), meaning his ambitions are pretty much dead.
As for Shirou, it's been said there's no guarantee of him becoming Archer, even in Fate, and he might be able to move on from Saber, so it's not totally hopeless for him either.
One Strip! One Strip!Heh… it's funny how widely milages vary about the endings' happiness.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Fate is pretty sad yeah.
But then Last episode make up for everything!
Such beauty.
Can we pretend that Kuzuki died in a horrible car accident two weeks after the Grail War?
Then I'll agree with Shlugo!
Kay: If it makes you feel any better, after he lost Caster he has nothing left but a shallow, meaningless life filled with the knowledge of what he had gained and then lost again with no true friends or acquaintances apart from Issei and maybe Taiga.
Fate is really just as bad as HF normal if you don't take into account Realta Nua. Even then it still sucks to be anyone not named Tohsaka, Saber or Shirou.

If we take Last Episode into account though, we can assume Shirō and Sakura met again in the afterlife in HF Normal (she won't have to wait 1500 years either). Because why not!

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Ha, no!!
That does console me a little.
Sakura isn't King Arthur. No such luck. The Nasuverse afterlife doesn't normally work like that.
INDEED

Is the opening bit in the NEW CP episode where Kohaku hits the Dreaded invisble coin block a Kaizo Reference?
