Urobuchi did have to be told to rewrite the Zero event, though. Too dark.
Makes me wonder what the original was like.
My guess is so dark not even a high powered search light could pierce it.
Considering how the whole event is focused around Waver, I can only imagine it ends with Iskandar disowning him or something.
My immediate thought was Kerry killing Iri or the other way around, but it's so vague that it's hard to say.
Waver being one of the characters involved probably makes more sense now that I think about it.
Funnily enough, he does kill Iskandar in the version of the event we did get.
And Kiritsugu killing Iri wouldn't really have much of an impact considering they're complete stranger in that story.
Nasu can be ridiculously mean-spirited to his characters at times, perhaps even more so than Urobuchi.
As I recall, all we were told is that it went something like...
Urobuchi: Can't I just have Character X kill off Character Y and end things with that?
Nasu: Try to believe more in hopes and dreams, Urobuchi!
... and then it got rewritten, and we got what we ended up with in FGO.
And Urobuchi would eventually take Nasu's words about hopes and dreams and other saccharine crap to heart and make Madoka Magica.
And then he said "fuck it" and made Madoka Magica Rebellion.
Actually Rebellion was the rest of the Madoka crew.
He only did the original.
So that’s not his fault.
TIL that in the Gilgamesh route of CCC, Hakuno's original servant was a Berserker!
do we have any idea who this berserker was?? or why hakuno summoned a berserker in the first place and they just didnt follow up when Hakuno was kidnapped by BB?
The general fanon is Enkidu since he shows us Gils past in dreams and trying really hard to ship us and have Gil move on.
The contract was terminated in the Near Side when BB interfered and started the plot of CCC for Gil's route
from what i understand, each servant has three endings
right? since CCC isnt translated i'm working with bits and pieces i can scrape together.
what happens to kiara in the non "true" endings? what happens in the true ending as a whole after defeating kiara?
It's just four Servant endings and the normal ending where they only fight BB (because Kiara died to Melt and couldn't use her contingencies) and the CCC ending where Kiara is defeated (as she gets around that death problem in this ending and manages to take control of the Moon Cell) and Hakuno and Sakura end up together

The most common fanon is the aforementioned Enkidu theory because Hakuno can see Enkidu's backstory at one point, but we know for a fact that Nightingale was a scrapped character in CCC, so I take the most biased alternative here.
More characters in the EXTRA branch ended up scrapped than in the actual games, to be perfectly fair.
Damn that means Nightingale just straight abandoned us
Interesting. I'd love to play through the game myself, but until it's translated that isn't possible, which is an absolute shame.
JRads, Madoka came long before FGO.
Maybe? We have no information on what Nightingale's role would have been in CCC, so we can't confirm if she was supposed to be the Berserker.
Though I hear that FGO JP had Enkidu allude again to stuff from CCC regarding his hopes for Gil to find someone else he can accept as a "friend".
Most likely, Enkidu
But if it’s Nightingale, still feels bad
Berserker Enkidu is also his monster form.
So something just ocurred to me: a guy who has little to no meaning or goal in life and tries to compensate for that by overfpcusing on helping others.
Now, am I talking about Shirou or Solaire of Astora?
This is as overt you can get with that reference◊
