I agree. Why it isn't named Convenient Escape Boat (or vessel for the non-water variety) baffles me.
Is there a trope for Escape Pods that happen to be boats? While I don't want to put words into someone's mouth it could be possible to confuse convenient escape boat with convenient escape boat
Do escape boats need to be separate from Escape Pod?

Fight smart, not fair.An "escape boat" in the Escape Pod sense would be a life raft. This trope is about escaping on a boat as it sails away from the dock.

As mentioned above, this is completely different from an Escape Pod. Or maybe not, since an Escape Pod is just sitting around waiting for someone to escape in it. It's still different. >.<
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentswow... I think sowing confusion is my super-power.
The point I was to make is that the troper who put up Escape Convenient Boat hypothetically may, or may-not, have wanted to be sure the emphasis was on the convenience of the escape instead of the boat itself.

So move to Escape-Convenient Boat.
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsAh. This trope is about a boat that just happens to be pulling away from the dock in time for the protagonists to jump onto to evade their pursuers.
While Convenient Escape Boat calls to mind a life raft that's not in use, that our protagonists use to escape.
Convenient Boat Escape works. Or, since this is about things taht occur in the nick-of-time, Big Damn Boat Escape?

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I would prefer to not snowclone Big Damn Anything after the whole Big Damn Gunship thing. And still its not this trope since this trope doesn't require someone to bring the boat in... a boat could be just sitting there.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
Crown Description:

I'm sorry, but is there some term I'm unfamiliar with? Is the weird grammar integral to the trope itself? What I mean to ask is, is there any particularly good reason it isn't simply Convenient Escape Boat?
