Man, I am geeking about about the animation for this movie. It's so beautifully Retraux.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada
well it is supposed to be retro like The Princess And The Frog, both are are a conscious attempt to return to the animation style of their most popular movies

Humour, where would we be without it? In Germany, probablyThe new Winnie The Pooh theme, sadly in German [1]
Also a fairly stupid interview but we get to see the first image of the "Backson"

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Europe is getting the film three months early. This probably explains the influx of new footage in German.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Usually it is a week or two early but three months is amazingly early for an American production.
If it makes you feel better, Australia only gets it one day earlier.

More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/random post but just when I thought this song couldn't get more trippy
Still frickin irked that Disney decided to release it to the Americas the exact same weekend Harry Potter part 2 is coming out. Yeah, doesn't take An Idiot to figure out thats a really bad idea!
- "So we're planning on releasing the movie on July 15, what other movies are coming out on this date?"
- "Nothing much, except for that one GIANT movie that everyone has been waiting a decade to see! "
- "Sounds good! Let's begin marketing as soon as possible!"
I mean for a studio that seems really keen on bringing back hand drawn animation, they sure do male some stupid mistakes when handling them. At any rate, at least the lines should be short on opening day.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Worst part is that because the film will be released this weekend in Europe, that actually means the film is completed and they're holding off showing it to people until July 15, when it could just as easily be shown in May. It's like they're trying to doom this movie's opening weekend.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.People were all doom and gloom when Tangled came out alongside part 1 too. But you know what, it all worked out. Because as anyone who's watched a trailer for it knows, Harry Potter has gotten very grim and dark lately, and is PG-13 besides. Right next door however is a light and fluffy animated movie that people of all ages can enjoy. Kids especially.
Parents will take their children to go see Pooh, and others will go see Harry Potter. They aren't aimed at similar audiences.
I'm not complaining about the movie itself, far from it as I'm hyped as hell to see it, just the release date.
And that still doesn't excuse the fact that Disney could've chosen any earlier date for this film yet decided to hold onto it until Harry Potter came out.
So, instead of trying to market the film to a wide demographic, only preschoolers and kids will go to see Pooh? I think as Eeyore might say, that's uplifting.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Prediction: Pooh will come up just behind HP in box office revenue for the opening weekend...
Assuming people aren't going to miss Pooh because they mistakened it as part of the line that is Piglets Big Movie and Poohs Heffalump Movie.

New clip... too bad it's in German
