I don't see that working, since Disney is already marketing Pooh on Facebook like crazy as it is (they even made FB pages for the characters!), and making a whole page for it won't reach new people!
You dont know your history of Disney? He worked for Disney, a producer for Beauty and The beast. Also Jessica Borutski(I cant get her last name right but she works on The Looney Tunes Show), Milton Knight, and Jerry Beck are in the group as well.
The Rotten Tomatoes rating is at 89%. However, it isn't tracking well at all (the theatre where I went to see Harry Potter has it dumped into a small auditorium splitting showtimes with Super 8).
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Cartoon Brew finally posted about Winnie the Pooh's release. http://www.cartoonbrew.com/feature-film/winnie-the-pooh-talkback.html
They even mention the Facebook support group! Unfortunately, only those who have seen it are allowed to comment on that blog post.
Which brings me back to my other complaint! How in the heck can they even KNOW who sees a film if all they do is reply?!
Rotten Tomatoes rating is currently 90%.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI went to an early afternoon showing and there was a decent crowd (about half-full in one of the smaller auditoriums). The kids seemed to be into it.
Also, there is a short film before it called The Legend of Nessie (about the Loch Ness monster) that is just as beautifully animated as Winnie the Pooh is. And Nessie's got a Scottish rubber ducky!
