1. That not that much of a news. It,s been known for a year at least.
2. Disney has the right to Winnie the Pooh, and they,re not going to let them out of their grasp soon (assuming the contract has an expiration date). And of course it's gonna be good even if its Disney - Disney made Winnie the Pooh the franchise it is today after all. The original movie is still considered as one of Disney's best.
3. I'm hope it does weel, because it means more hand-drawn animation, which John Lasseter is pushing heavily. But you don't change the orientation of a huge animation studio in a few years.
Lol it's Winnie not Whiney. *
And yeah the information has been out for like several months now. Personally I'm rather disappointed at the voice cast, since Andre Stojka, Peter Cullen, and Ken Sansom won't be reprising their iconic roles for this film. I am glad however that they managed to bring in Burny Mattinson though.
For me, nothing can beat the first true Winnie The Pooh film revival: The Tigger Movie.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. All I know about the cast is that Debi Mae West (Tsunade, Meryl) will be doing the voice of Roo.

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUHanddrawn? Animation?
Not Straight To Video?
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAHH
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIWhat on earth is this movie going to be about? Frankly, I'm hoping for something akin to Toy Story 3, as they've already introduced that Christopher Robin is going to school as a maor plotpoint in Pooh's Grandest Adventure. I think a movie about Christopher, now a grown man with a child of his own, returning to the home of his youth and rediscovering his old friends (and that they weren't just a figment of his imagination) while his son/daughter befriends them.
"All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." -Gandalf
Okay if the movie uses that as a plot I may just shed many manly tears. Hell Pooh's grand adventure causes me to tear up, especially that one really sad song about Pooh being alone. My mom and I watched all those old pooh specials(the really old ones, Blustery day, Eeyore's birthday etc) when I was young and we both break down bawling during that one song.
Curse you Disney and you ability to make 20 something men cry!
You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans. The movie will be like any other Winnie the Pooh movie, only his owner will be Christopher Robin's daughter. In a way, she's basically Bonnie from Toy Story 3.

Apparently John Cleese will be playing the narrator too [1]
I had read that premise here but it looks like that the plot is still unknown at this point. Must have been just a rumor.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I also read somewhere that the plan for the film was to take five original stories from AA Milne's books that Disney himself had planned, and turn them into the film, as akin to the original The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh [1]
.
Also, No Sherman Brothers for the musical score :(
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I still don't see why they had to give Christopher Robing Hellish Pupils rather than the normal black dots that he had in the book and the original series.
Also, no Gopher :(
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Gopher was exclusive to the TV series. He was never in A.A. Milne's books so of course they left him out.
And for some reason, Craig Ferguson doesn't sound right as Owl.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I'm actually more distracted by the fact that they decided, for some reason, to use "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. It just doesn't fit D:
Ahem. Anyway, I'm not sure what to think about this. Owl's and Christopher Robin's voices do seem a bit off. Other than that, there's not enough here for me to really form an opinion on. I am glad they put it back into traditional animation; I never really dug the CGI Pooh. This is starting to make me want to read my old Winnie the Pooh collection.
While I'm not crazy about them changing all of the voice actors (I'm so happy that Jim Cummings is in), the trailer actually has me interested. I grew up with everything Pooh (Many Adventures, New Adventures, Grand Adventure, Tigger Movie, so on and so forth). I'm especially curious about Pooh in honey paradise.
I heard about this. And the guys who wrote Avenue q are doing the music. No sherman bros? people would have been brought back to their childhood. Correct me if I'm wrong but werent the original books took place in British culture? That could explain why Christopher Robin sounds a bit off.

Yes you are correct on both accounts. The only time Christopher Robin was "Americanized" was in the television show. And No Sherman Brothers is indeed a Missed Moment of Awesome.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Owl is the only one who sounds 'off' to me, honestly. Everyone else sounds like I remembered they should. And I think that song fits wonderfully, don't see why Keane seems to have a hatedom. =/
That being said, I am so excited for this. :D I watched New Adventures pretty much every single day up until I was in 3rd grade (moved to a house with no Toon Disney), so I've loved this series all my life. Hell, I have Pooh Bear stickers and phrases on my bedroom walls (and Eeyore on my door) because it was a baby's room before we moved in and I haven't ever bothered to change it.

Someone's making a new whinnie the pooh movie. And there keeping it 2d hand drawn YESSSSSS!!!!!!
Who's hyped?
