10/10. I love how upbeat it is, and I also like the twangy guitars and the vocals a lot. It's a really great song.

hey ive heard of this song somewhere-

but. anyways. i swear this song was gonna be more avant-garde then i expected but apparently not? not in a bad way though, i like that beginning melody in the middle, gives me gothic rock vibes almost?

this is definitely just me, but i feel like a song about this somber of a subject matter could go for something more... less traditional, i suppose? apparently this is considered a "ballad" in metal terms but eh... just seems like a normal metal song to me, just with a calm intro.

overall rating: 7/10

60/100 - This feels like at least three different styles tossed into a hip-hop blender across a couple of decades for an aggressively anachronistic, avant-hip-hop odyssey. Which is conceptually very cool but jarring to the point of almost being a pastiche. It's cleverness in randomness' clothing though occaisonally to a self-masturbatory means, particularly in the needlessly dragged out sample-heavy ending and some of the eclecticism comes off as "Surprise! Bet you didn't see that coming." Can't help but respect the ambition regardless.

7/10 reminds me of some of Alain Gouraguer's stuff especially his soundtrack for Fantastic Planet but otherwise it's not bad. Very 60s early 70s sounding.

5/10. Great guitar riffs, but the vocals felt kind of muddled and difficult to hear clearly, and that was a bit distracting.

40/100 - At the point in time when Megadeth were poised to completely overtake Metallica and fully realize what Rust In Peace hinted at, Dave seemed really dedicated to following James and friends down the drain. This is the best known warmed over turd the band shat out, sounding like the pseudo-thrash equivalent of a bunch of extremely capable musicians reducing themselves to spelling out some of the most aggressively pandering radio-friendly fare they could vomit up.

It's not even *that* atrocious but it's the overall lack of personality and Dave's vocals lacking any of the whipping, tenacious aggression the rest of the band once provided that makes the whole thing feel like a concession towards the suits-and-ties you'd think they once hated into them realizing they *are* the dad rock band now rather than the opposite of such. Megadeth is safely ignorable from this point onwards, like most 80's thrashers not named Paradox or Mekong Delta.

It was so far a very good instrumental metal jam, but I feel the last minute of the song, that tries to bring up an epic end lost a little with those gutural sounds...

10/10. I like how the song is able to mix in guitar riffs with an orchestra, which is quite interesting in my opinion. It helps make the song more grand and dramatic in its own way.

This sounds like it would be really fun to hear in a FPS like Doom. If that was the band's intention, kudos to them, they accomplish that quite well. It does sound a little generic, with a basic structure of riffing, then a minute of quiet and threatening atmosphere, then riffing again that you hear a lot in metal, but I like that formula so it doesn't bother me that much.

30/100 - Five minutes isn't that long of a wait in my opinion but tedium has a tendency to lengthen time. It's minimalist enough and fade-into-the-background to the degree you could essentially rearrange it random and rather than getting something at least amusingly jarring and compelling it would be roughly the same all around, flat in its delivery and flatter still in any emotional impact that ensues.

Not sure what I am hearing, while Kolyadin has a good idea over how to make this piano sing, the concept sounds like it tries to mix jazz, progressive rock and that kind of music you can find in a 90s instrumental collection.

The changes of rhythm are unexpected, but I would say I could put it in my playlist without issues.

7.5/10: A wispy and attentive folk track. There’s a lot of good stuff on guitar and the vocals, and it comes together with a really harmonic end. A lot of Bon Iver vibes with this one.

R&B music mixed with social criticism lyrics that could come from a folk-rock song makes for a quite interesting combination. I really dig the rhythm, horns, and that intro where it's just the piano is great. Solid funky track.

72/100 - Good melodies tend to be timeless and the saucy verses complimented by swelling backing vocals and brass only build on it. It's a repetitive song but it makes the smart move of not being a very long song and the vocal modifications to the second verse and what sounds like a string of some sort build on its tension well. There's a bunch of little details that do, not enough to radically restructure it but enough that that even when it returns to familiarity there's something that's slightly different enough to keep your attention held for the chorus.

This really didn't need to be 7 minutes long. Individually, all the elements sound quite pleasant; the drumming is engaging, and those moments with the syntethizing sound and the female voice make for nice atmospheric moments. But as a whole, there's very litte happening here, so all you get is 7 minutes of drumming with some random moments of pleasantness.

90/100 - Like the digitized version of a classic prog/fusion number, translating itself very well to a comparatively sci-fi, kinda technoism form. It's very much a 70's style especially with the more rocking instrumentation but the way it's produced and elaborated on updates it for a new age smoothly enough to feel like a natural extension. A slow burner but not sluggish, rapidly picking up momentum and winding around for fireworks displays of tonally ambiguous yet evocative, enthralling elation. The only criticism I can give is that I wish it was a bit longer to elaborate on a really cool ending theme.

9/10 Apparently these guys have been cultivating their sound for a very long time and it shows. That display of different styles of vocals is definitely new for me in regards to metal, and it is very cool. Especially the call-and-response at one point and the breakdown with the female vocalist at the end just ties it all together nicely.
