6/10: Am liking the instrumentation, not so much the generic "grr woooooow" metal vocals
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."![]()
9.5/10: It's not the most significant song ever, but this song makes me cry every time. Especially the second chorus.
3/10 Oh my god, that melody is really annoying. Like, gratingly, mind-numbingly annoying. It gets an extra half a point for the disembodied boots, though. I like those.
Game of Thrones soundtrack - Reek
6/10 - Really doesn't sound as good without the show there to back it up, but then again, I'm never big on listening to OS Ts isolated from the actual show.
I would have posted When Death Enthrones Our Darkness, but I sadly couldn't find a vid.
"I thought Djent was just a band" -Physical Stamina6/10 …Vocals. Not my thing.
Deep into that darkness, peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.10/10. Although Cohen has explained the meaning, I feel the song can be interpreted in many different ways, and to me that's a positive, as it means that it appeals to many different people. Moreover, melody/lyrics are just... made of win. *shrug*

You mean like "this sure is, huh, music"?
I was never a big fan of Placebo and the melody isn't that outstanding, but I like the lyrics. A bit of a double meaning in them.
… Heh, I'll put a metal song for once.
(well, going by the youtube comments some people don't consider this group as metal, but let's just say it is for now. I'm not very good with the subtleties of rock genres.)

Hey, at least that's something
4/10. Some nice instrumentation, but the vocals are some of the douchiest I've ever heard in heavy metal music.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."2/10 - I have little to no tolerance for this kind of milquetoast boring pretty-boy light hop drivel. This isn't even his worse track but I feel the need to ask how the fuck does this guy manage to be even more boring than Burial ?

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.9/10 Yeah Yeah Yeah's are always awesome.
40/100 - Muddy drawling bluesy hard rock with a lot of fuzz that hides otherwise plain droning riffage and a rather overdone vocal performance.

Only Death Is Real7/10. Nice, but limp-wristed. Lacks the energy and fervor of great classical music.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."This gets an even 50/100. I honestly can't tell from one listening to the next if it's saccharine wank or if it's a decent feelgood ditty. Sometimes it makes me want to strangle the nearest grippable object. And sometimes it brings a giant cheesy smile to my face. I can see why they used it
for the Friends pilot. Make of that what you will.

Schild und Schwert der Partei8/10 Fun and bouncy, but repetitive.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."A good song, manages to straddle the line between pop and alternative rock without really sounding too forced or unnatural. All in all a cool song. 7/10.
78/100 - Solid thrash, more melody in the riffs than is the norm.

6.5/10 - You get the distinct impression they're testing out their instruments before they start playing; a 'sound check', so to speak.
Okay, just kidding - Sneha Khanwalkar - Kaala Rey
It's not bad. An easy enough listen, though I've heard better. Plods a bit. Atmospheric enough, but it quickly wears off.
65/100
Schild und Schwert der Partei6/10. Pretty upbeat and catchy, but the lyrics are rather repetitive.
83/100 - Spirited rock piece, I like that it makes the bass quite prominent and clear while using colourful keyboard but not over-enthusiastic melody lines. The guitar tone though is neutered to the point where it's almost unnecessary. Vocals could be a little better but it may just be production.
Vulvagun - Confessions of a Flesh Eater

50/100 - That voice could drive a bhuddist up a wall.
Viathyn - Ageless Stranger
