Been watching Death Battle all day. Why the hell do they pit lightning users against people who are immune to lightning?

-Cole rolls to the side and the Spear catches him in the shoulder.-

"Aaaah! Damn, that smarts! Hey, you're pretty good. Didn't catch your name, though."

@ Artemis: Probably because it's usually another lightning user who's immune, so it's fitting. Also, what's the ruling on jet packs, flying broomsticks, etc? Do they count as vehicles?

: Something to think about. The main reason I prohibit characters from coming in with their own vehicles is not maneuverability, but unstoppability. An enclosed vehicle, like a car, will pretty much give you a free kill, or at least stun, on a character that is not both ranged and an uncanny shot. Meanwhile, the sort of advantage given by a broomstick or jetpack, while considerable, doesn't have the same potential to render an otherwise fair fight foregone; you're not gonna run someone over with one of those, at least not with impunity. For those reasons, among others, I think I shall edit the OP to only expressly disallow enclosed (or nearly enclosed) vehicles.
Short version: Jetpacks and broomsticks *

(and, for instance, segways and bicycles)

-Shadow uses Chaos Control again to warp in front of Cole, trying to drive a Chaos Spear through his heart-

-As soon as Shadow appears in front of Cole, he employs his secret weapon: the mighty, yet humble headbutt.-

-Shadow is knocked back by the headbutt, recovers, then Chaos Controls behind Cole and hurls 4 Spears at him, at close range-

-Cole is hit by the spears and is knocked to the ground. He gets up and uses Ice Launch (creates a pillar of ice to fire him into the air) to jump to the second floor. He then Lightning Tethers up to the ceiling and comes down with thunder drop, gathering electrons from the air and creating a huge blast of electricity when he lands.-

-Shadow Chaos Controls very barely out of the range of the lightning blast, then spinballs and charges at Cole right after the electricity dissipates-

-Cole uses the Amp like a golf club and, once more, swings at Shadow when he gets close.-

-Shadow bounces in spinball form just out of the swing range, then bounces again to hit Cole right in the chest-

-Cole is struck in the chest and is knocked on his back, his Amp sent sliding across the floor.-

"Ah, crap. That's not good "

-Shadow uncurls, charges a Chaos Blast, and fires it point-blank at Cole. The resultant explosion will damage and knock Shadow away quite a bit-

-Cole is blown sky-high. His body vanishes but, for those interested in looting, his Amp doesn't.-

-as Shadow walks towards the Amp, intending to pick it up, he vanishes-

-Rainbow Dash flies in from the Leisure Park Sky, and performs a 90-degree turn into the Wonderland Plaza, whereby she stops and lands-

-A green-skinned witch on a broomstick (a broomstick with a face, mind you) flies in through a conveniently-placed hole in the ceiling of Paradise Plaza (the same one Casshern came in through a couple dozen pages back.)-

Since Gruntilda only had 2 attacks in the original Banjo-Kazooie (three if you count ramming her opponent) I'm going to use some stuff from other games to keep things from getting repetitive, like with Derpy Dalek before. She has small, red fireball-like spells, green homing ones, big, purple, PAINFUL ones, and she can cast illusions and shoot lightning. Her ghost form used illusions in Grunty's Revenge her Mecha-Grunty suit used the lightning, but it makes sense that her normal body would be able to do it, too.

-Dash starts to fly around and out the WP, through the North Plaza, before stopping in the Paradise Plaza near Gruntilda-

Okay, so SR will be nerfed: She can only use the full, Mach 10 version in the Leisure Park (a.k.a open-air stages). Even then, it will only deal heavy damage, instead of an OHKO like with Hazama. Also, and this is very important for future opponents fighting RD: Heavy damage to her wings will disable her flight, and by extension her Mach Blitz and Sonic Rainboom. Her running, non-flight speed is simply that of a trained race horse.
