Musicals make everything better.
I
fricking
love
musical
theater.
And screw people who complain about The Musical. Everything can be improved with the Wright right music.
Yes!
EVERYTHING.
^^ The H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society. They actually made it an entire musical ("The Shoggoth On The Roof"), but To Life is definitely the high point. :D
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOMusical theatre is excellent! My favorite musical won the Pulitzer Prize for drama. Guess what it is.
Anime geemu wo shinasai!I guess Rent, but I looked up the list of winners on The Other Wiki.
Can we gush about opera and rock opera here too? Just because...
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOWrong! RENT is the hipster musical of the 90's. The RENT-heads were just babes when my musical was first produced. Here's another hint: RENT is a rip off of a famous opera, while my musical is a complete aversion of that trope (Yes, there is such a trope). I made it way too easy now.

Anime geemu wo shinasai! You just read my mind; Montage Part 2: Nothing is my favorite part of the musical. I first heard it being performed by Natalie Cortez.
I thought that you would guess Sunday in the Park with George.

Anime geemu wo shinasai!I didn't even know that was a musical. [facepalm]
Well - I refuse to despair over my loss for long!
Well, gee, it's only the fourth longest running musical in Broadway history.
Idina and Kristin are both really great. Kristin has an excellent comedic style: Wicked, Candide, Charlie Brown. In fact... I'm unaware of her non-comedic roles, although I'm sure she has plenty. Promises, Promises is comedic, right?

Anime geemu wo shinasai!I remember a short documentary that addressed Kristin Chenoweth as an opera singer. That would make sense from Candide, but I'm not aware of much other opera she's done. I wonder if she identifies as an opera singer who also does occasional pop, or a pop artist that can do opera.

Anime geemu wo shinasai!^^^ My military orchestrated knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury, has only been moved backward to the middle of the century.
^ If that's the case, luckily for you, A Chorus Line came out in the 70's. I highly recommend it.
Now try to guess what my least favorite musical is. It won the Tony Awards for best musical, best book, and best original score. A famous show tune standard originated from it. I strongly dislike it.
