Well, time for me to start getting all Chessmastery and start making the arrangements necessary for a Region 4 DVD release of this series to happen.
Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?I'm so proud of what the Trope page have become. In the very beginning, before Wiki Magic took place, I made almost every entry; now, my amount of work doesn't even represent 20% of the page. They grow so fast...
And I will help you in your quest, Korgmeister. Being a lucky european guy, I have the Region 2 DV Ds, but it won't take long to find a living market for the series overseas. I have my plans... ;)
(By the way, the three final episodes must be some kind of traumatism for us: half the spoilers on the Trope page is related to it!)
I haven't actually got that far yet. Updating the character pages has been problematic in terms of avoiding too many spoilers.
Yes, Sadlygrove is my favourite character. I have the feeling those last three episodes will be particularly traumatic for me.
Incidentally, I've also taken up experimenting with Dofus. Yet another distraction from my liveblogging, of course.

Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?OK, so I've just finished watching the end of season 1.
I feel depressed now. That was just a sucker punch in the gut. Everything exquisitely calculated in order to be as heartbreaking as possible.
I must salute the people at Ankama for doing such a good job of making me care about the characters they fucked over so badly. It's rare for me to get really emotionally sucked into a work these days, but they pulled it off!
I have also come up with a new for Wakfu. Check it out and tell me what you think about it.
Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?I've also added two that I have been pondering for quite a while. I'm a tad interested in this idea, which would greatly flesh out Eva's character a lot. Anyone have any ideas?
I discovered this about a week ago and I'm about to start episode 16. I love it so far, it's one of my new favorites! So, just wondering, if it were to get dubbed, what channel would you want it on and which VA would you like dubbing it? I think Cartoon Network might be a good fit and possibly Nickelodeon or Nicktoons Network (although less people get Nicktoons, I think, then the other two). I'm not sure which V As I'd like on the show yet though.
Ngggh, in an ideal world I'd like Wakfu to be dubbed so it could be more internationally known, but I severely doubt that any American studio would allow it to air without ridicoulous amounts of cutting. And forget about the Goultraud or Nox special.
I can't really think of any VA's off the top of my head... whoever voiced Katara might be good for Eva. Dunno about the rest.

Okay, just finished the series and the specials, and oh my God, that was so intense. How come everything I watch lately is filled with horrible sadness? I mean, first Toy Story 3 and now this. But anyway, if they did dub it, I don't see them cutting that much. Well, maybe the brief showerscene in Grovy's episode and the goultard short ( unless they digitally removed all the blood). Or maybe they would cut more and I'm being unrealistic about it, I don't know.
And now I'm seeing some of the cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender doing the dub. I don't how to feel about that. Zach Tyler Eisen (if he were still twelve) = Yugo Mae Whitman = Eva Jack De Sena = Sadlygrove
Hmm, still working on it.

^ Mmm, by the way, they did do a test dub of the first episode (and maybe the second) that you can find on Youtube, but a) it's a placeholder, b) all of the voices are extremely underwhelming except for c) Grovy, who sounds awful.
I think I came
Funny that you bring the Avatar cast for the dubbing. In the very, very first version of the french cast, Grovy's voice was done by Tony Marot, french dubber of Sokka. It's a small world after all?
A bientôt.
I just started watching this series and am currently at the very beginning of the show. So, can anyone tell me if there's a context for this picture◊ (Rule 63?)?

^That's just a female Xelor. All the main characters are based of classes of the online game Wakfu. In-game, you can play as any of the races, any of the gender. So, no, it's not gender-bender'ed Nox.
...although, suddenly, this is making me crave someone doing a genderflip of the cast.
Thank you for the answer!
...I wonder what a masculine form of name "Evangelyne" would be.
Evan, naturally. Even if it is Welsh, it fits.

You're teasing me. My drawing skills aren't nearly as good as I wish they were, but I'll give it a shot.

I had an idea at work to do The Abridged Series of Wakfu.
Mind you, I have almost no experience in video editing and nothing more sophisticated than Windows Movie Maker to work with so I suspect the results would not be brilliant.
Still, it's an idea not without its appeals.
For voices, my idea is to take the piss out of the Fan Dumb complaining about the English dub and just do way out Alternative Character Interpretation on the cast in a way that just "sounds wrong" to anyone familiar with the original characters.
Tristepin - A debonair Englishman who speaks in Received Pronounciation.
Evangeline - Just go the full Dr Girlfriend route and have her talking with the most "cigarettes & whisky" voice I can manage.
Amalia - Have her talk like a Valley Girl even though she isn't really that spoiled.
Nox - A collection of as many bad German stereotypes as possible while avoiding the obvious Hitler jokes.
I still want to keep Ruel as a grumpy old man, just turn it Up To Eleven because I love doing those sorts of voices.
Still not sure what to do with Yugo or Adamai.

Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?I want to see this thing Korg.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI didn't know you were into Wakfu.
Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?I'm still trying to find a place to watch it. My normal spots aren't carrying it.
Fight smart, not fair.where can I find subs?
All of time and space, anywhere and everywhere, any star that ever was. Where do you want to start? You learn new things every day Korg! I've only watched a bit of it, but I like what I'm seeing.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan Chah@zam, the torrent I got already had subs included, either MKV or they were hardsubs. Quality of subs varied in quality, mostly good, although the subbing in episode 5 was as poor as the art. Frenchy Anon's translations near the end were the best.
Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?O.K

"I declare this series to be my new Gurren Lagann. But with Moe Moe rather than Hot Blood."
"They certainly took a page off Gurren Lagann. "
"Yugo channels his inner Kamina at 0:38."
...heh. "Funny Aneurysm" Moment, anyone?
