It feels like everything we learn in each expansion is just yet another lie. No more theories for me. Everything is bullshit!
The Echo seems to be another thing entirely from tempering otherwise Fordola and Zenos would have been bound to Her will and desires too right?
It seems likely that the possibility that we're tempered will come up at least once during the expansion. Might be a big part of it, even, to figure out the truth of the matter.
It could be that Hydaelyn is much more powerful and complex than the other primals we've seen, and is capable of more nuanced thought and understanding. If everyone believes in the mother crystal, which seems to be the case, you're going to get a lot more varied views and interpretations, instead of one single-minded paper-thin interpretation like a lot of the primals summoned under duress by a small number of individuals.
Also, at some point the line between primal and genius loci/mater mundi has to be blurred, if only by a matter of scale. If everyone in the world believes in an all-nuturing mother crystal goddess, and the result is an all-nuturing mother crystal goddess who's existed since the beginning of time, that makes the distinction between the primals and an actual god pretty blurry.
Of course that also has the opposite effect with her sibling. Because most people believe Zodiark is evil, regardless of whether he was originally or not, then....

Of course Zodiark is a mysterious entity not really known of in the source all together which would also explain She would be the more powerful one.
Sin Eaters also respawn when they die so there is no small wonder why they are winning. Also I wonder if that line about having a Dark Knight is dependent on your class much like Krile making you heal Y'shtola in Stormblood.

Let's also not forget that the guy who's giving out this information has a vested interest in painting the situation in the worst possible light and generally messing with the WoL's head.
I think that man was actually saying "a dark night", and that it's just a lucky pun

Your probably right about that.
Also as we figured, Solus's Ascian glyph matches Zalera thereby confirming that he is Emet-Selch as speculated.
Also, also our crystal armed friend is a Black Mage trust.
Still expecting him to have a Twin possessing his dear grandson.
I expect Varis to turn into the Hell Emperor eventually, there was that comment about the Garlean's worshiping their emperor with the fervor of a primal.
Know that huuuuuuge fat fuck we saw in the trailer? Someone compared his face and hair to Don Corneo in FF 7 and the two look somewhat similar.
I honestly was thinking Norg but Corneo works too.
Don Norg Cornero.
People caught a snippet of Gaius and Estinien meeting up and being in that weird room in Crystal Tower, so we might have two more trusts based on non-Scion allies.
Also this◊, it may be a trick of the angle or his new more battle-ready-looking outfit but Alphinaud looks older, makes me wonder just how much time has passed if the two worlds do have some kind of time dilation going on.

I always figured the others had different bodies in the First that conveniently resemble their bodies from the Source, given their original bodies are still around waiting for them to finish Shadowbringing. Some irregularities despite that wouldn't be that strange.
The WOL doesn't need a different body thanks to their Echo.

Yeah, that makes sense. And he definitely does look older - if nothing else, he's significantly taller.
Rememher Solus mentions he can reshape a body to fit him, though clones are so much more convenient, so why can't they?
They're not Ascians. Allagans were big on cloning, though, so it's possible that's why their First bodies are such close matches to the Source ones. Crystal Tower dude has apparently been waiting on them coming over to help for a while, so maybe he knows what kind of bodies they'd all like and had some made for them.

Alphinaud: ...Can I keep this when we go back?
Warriors of Darkness had meatsuits that were likewise fashioned to suit them.
I'm gonna take a guess and say altering meatsuits is something people with the Echo can do. Probably can do it for others as well so they can be dropped right in.
I heard the JP version Solus says a certain culture summoned the will of the planet(which altered the foundations of the world) in this trailer.
Its just the angle, you can see Alphinaud being his same small self in Trust other footage.
Oh boy, what a goddamn bombshell, i don't know about the rest of you, but i love the Theory fodder, yeah most of them turn out to be bullshit, but i still have fun speculating. Regarding that bombshell, it was always foreshadowed, was it not? In my view, Shadowbringers is going to the real main topic of the Game, in a way you could consider the plots with Ishgard and Ala Mhigo to filler in a way.
i was talking with my FC friends and we all noticed the pictures in the murals look like the gridanian elementals... do you guys think they'll be important to the plot? maybe setting up for a greenwrath level calamity on the source? xD
I think that might have been an abstract for the two gods, especially since, if those murals were on the first, there wasnít a gridania to begin with.
Rewatching the trailer, Eulmore is gonna be really messed up, they coexist with the sin eaters even though they have full intention of destroying them eventually, they just forestall it by letting them eat the hopeful refugees in the slums. Even by XIV standards that arc is gonna be -dark- I think .
