They tolerate Goblin traders at least.
Everyone else can fuck right off, though
well, i guess the ala mhigan resistance has ananta in its ranks, but it seems that was born out of necessity than acceptance
Don't forget that compared to the rest of the world, Eorzea is kinda backwards in a lot of things. Combine this with the beastmen constantly summoning primals over and over and you can sort of see why everyone's so racist.
I took a few screenshots of the book but I gotta go to work in a bit. You can find them here, but I will be taking them down by the end of today.
ok so the primary cause of eorzea's racism was corrupt merchants
That's interesting that they're so overt about drawing attention to it in this.
Yeah, once you started slipping into even just Ishgard, it became clear that racism towards the beast tribes was something that was purely created by the three city-states of Eorzia. They persecute the beast tribes until they summon their primals, and summoning their primals makes it logical to persecute them. A non-dismissable part of that is probably Ascian interference, of course, but still.
I do like how the articles are written from an in-universe perspective, so there can be wiggle room that can be referred to as bad information, and they're missing details on things of the bigger scheme like Ascian manipulation except for rough guessing regarding it.
I would hope that Bangaa and Seeq exist given that they've been in the game since 4.1.
I thought they were conjured ala primals at first.
I just updated my posted link with pages regarding how dragons speak. Naranumas, you better look!
You are good people, dragon approves.
I'll also try to update the character pages when I can.
Not everything needs Ascian involvement. Just a lot of it.
Sometimes people just suck on their own and the Ascians increase those tensions to benefit their goal and/or balance.
Speaking of sucking...the Muud Suud mobs in the Fringes are actually voidsent according to the book:
Good job, court mages!
Since they're talking Viera in the lorebook, I wonder if they'll have any mention on Blue Mage's origins.
Book has zero mention of blue mages.
That's mentioned on their Triple Triad card, actually.
Pfft who has time to read those
I read those.
Have fun at the carnival
The game has a surprisingly large amount of lore and worldbuilding behind things like TT cards and those pointless sidequests that are just barely worth their weight in XP, it's actually kinda amusing and gives it a little bit of charm, but it's also part of the reason why consolidating information is such a massive pain the arse.
Don't remind me.
I learned more about the Kobold aggression from a level 6 side quest, than the whole Titan chain of MSQ. >.>;
If they did try to cram the Kobold's history into the MSQ (amongst other details from other side quests), ARR would be fucking huge.
So, what details are there about Ivalice in the new lorebook? I'm trying to see what the time frame was for when it was taken over, if it was one of the first Garlean occupied territories, etc.
They mention 30 years ago in the quest cutscenes itself (having finally gotten caught up to them last night), I think the Garlean expansionism started 50 years before Legacy began, so I would say it may not have been the first conquest unless they spent 20 years either preparing or actively at war with Dalmasca.
