In my experiences, pictures depicting nothing more than just the Trope Namer have tended to receive more preferential treatment than one that's just someone else's face with a caption.
However, there's nothing wrong with opening the floor to see if anyone out there actually has a picture that demonstrates the trope proper.
The current picture is also looking a bit too Stripperific, if I may say so myself.
^^Like I said, it's the Trope Namer.
Trope Namers get slightly more preferential treatment when images are otherwise Just A Face And A Caption. It's why the image on the Agent Mulder page managed to stay, even after we had a discussion about it.
If there's any one reason why it should be removed, it's because of how Stripperific the image is, but that image manages to have a valid reason for being on the page.
But with most Trope Namers, the person alone is, normally, able to represent the trope on his/her own. In this case, Red Sonja is only the trope namer when in conjunction with another figure, in this case Conan.
I would appreciate an image that doesn't make me ashamed to look at TV Tropes in the school library.
"All pain is a punishment, and every punishment is inflicted for love as much as for justice." — Joseph De Maistre.I would appreciate it if TV Tropes wouldn't be held accountable for how you feel when you don't use school equipment for its intended purposes. Now go back to studying.

Urrrgh...I recently escaped Tennessee, so you've got to excuse me for being extra sick of hearing "because that's just the way it's always been", but that's never a good argument.
I wholeheartedly agree that the previous picture left a lot of room for improvement and wouldn't mind anything different.
However, in the month and a half that this topic has been around, not a single alternative has been proposed once, and it doesn't look like anyone is in a mood to look for a replacement. What exactly are we still doing here?
Trying to figure out how in the hell you show "A woman that can/will only fall in love with a man that can "conquer" her." in a picture. Or series of pictures.
Personally, I don't se how to do it in less than three — One to establish that she's strong/forceful/a warrior/whatever; one to show her being bested by the man; one to show her "in love" with him.
The previous picture indicates nothing whatsoever about the trope. I'm glad it's finally been taken off the page.

The Red Sonja Basic trope: A woman who will only be happy with a man who "conquers" or "tames" her
Current picture: Well, it's Red Sonja in a Over-the-Shoulder Pose.
I don't I need to explain why this pic doesn't exactly do a good job of representing this trope. It needs to be removed or replaced
