Characters?
I'm also wonder if Tats knows were the term ''glowie'' originated
.
It being from a schizophrenic man (Terry A. Davis
- whose story is rather tragic) trowing racist slurs, who due to mental illness believed CIA were watching his every move - he specifically stated:
The CIA n*****s glow in the dark, you can see them if you're driving. You just run them over, that's what you do."
It gave the rise to the 4chan (/pol/!) term glown***/glow n*** (yes the n-word), with "glowie" being an abbreviated, less offensive/obviously racist version.
Aside from further undermining the argument the Alt-Right is "not that bad", it's also interesting Tats gives some credence to literally ravings of a severally mentally ill person (if far the first one to do so...).
(To be clear CIA and FBI were and are involved in infiltrating various groups, but the people like Tats an his current readership's claims they did, at least most often absurd, even often self-contradictory, akin to those of poor Terry Davis.)
It also gives unintentionally credence to the idea the the "leftie blockers" (and by extension also the patriarchy blockers), cause one to see the world Through the Eyes of Madness...or some form of brainwashing via changed perception of the world.

Of course, the CIA is absolutely forbidden to spy domestically, and although the FBI has done some very questionable things, especially back under Hoover, they also must be given due credit for the things they do to keep us safe, and to investigate serious crimes like kidnappings, bank robberies, and death threats.
The primary reason for infiltrating some groups goes back to things like the Birmingham church bombing, and despite Tat's contention that his new friends are just wholesome patriots, there's a good reason why law enforcement keeps tabs on some of them. Domestic terrorism is a real threat today, and some of the Qanuts have actually murdered family members, including their own children over delusional nonsense. One guy made an armed assault "to rescue kids" from the basement of a pizza joint ... that had no basement.
Idolizing 1980's Radical Feminists was strange enough, but that was just radical thought. Some of the people Tat is idolizing now can be dangerous.

... children over delusional nonsense.
My former MIL knew (and lived a couple of blocks away from) the McMartin family, of "satanic preschool"
fame. That burst of insanity (by the government, in this case) was "for the children!" too.
Witchfinders gonna witchfind. Witchfinders are heroes, and people want to be heroes.

At this stage in Sinfest's deterioration, it would be more interesting watching paint dry underwater
Edit: - And that's with the first murky, washed out, full color weekday strip too!

https://www.reddit.com/r/sinfest/comments/xj2whj/tatsuya_ishida_recruiter_for_the_trans_cause/
Reddit has a few captures from a TERF who thinks Tats is, well, grooming kids. I mean, if you consider pumping out fascist propaganda and racist rants then Tats is certainly a groomer. I know I wouldn't trust him with my kids.

This has to be Andy Kaufman-grade satire. Why? Because that comic (IIRC) is just two panels taken out of context from a larger Sunday page ... and because that comic isn't new, so he had to have been *looking* for something to object to, and as a result the general attitude of Sinfest toward trans issues would have been obvious.
Hard to tell...James Esses, the guy who twitted Tats comic is "pro-trans propaganda", seems serious about his case, and is a fanatic in terms of being against trans rights, apparently expelled from his university and lost his role as a volunteer counselor over his transphobia:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9847741/Man-lost-job-Childline-raising-fears-children-rushed-changing-sex.html
Curiously, and hilariously, he basically stated he doesn't care Tats intended his comic as anti-trans satire, he basically thinks it's done so bad, it "encourages", people, including children to "become" trans. No seriously:
https://twitter.com/JamesEsses/status/1571980922790252544
FYI - This snapshot is being shared out of context amongst proponents of gender ideology and trans activists (and was the form in which I first came upon it).
https://twitter.com/JamesEsses/status/1571986374710145026
I make no judgement whatsoever of the artist (as mentioned, I saw this being shared out of context amongst activists on Twitter). The image itself is simply representative of what I see being pushed on children elsewhere. That was the only point I was trying to make.
He did seemingly take people trolling Tats seriously, but still - this whole situation shows how bad Tats comics currently are, including advocating/argumenting for Tats' own beliefs
.

Oh, great. He knows about Poe's Law, and he doesn't care one way or the other. He knows it's taken out of context and he agrees with Tats' objective — he's using it as a summary of what The Enemy's pro-trans propaganda is saying.
Someone downthread posted this.

I mean, in Esses's defense (ugh!), there's a number of people here and on Reddit who joke that Tats is secretly trans, because he spends so much time obsessing over thicc muscle bois with beards and bulging crotches. Just like he's secretly a furry, because that's some of the only work he does that isn't just copied over.
More seriously, Esses and Tats are both a couple of jackasses who are looking to be "offended", so they can justify their petty and vicious stupidity. Of course Tats is going to be a target, no one's safe in that pit of vipers (and my apologies to the vipers).

Yawn, Even in the USA, hand grenades are illegal for non-military personnel to own
This one is just political clickbait designed for twitter likes from the NRA. Maybe Tats is hoping for a sponsorship deal?
I suppose shilling for the NRA would make it a moral grade above most of this year's output
Skynet Is Inevitable. Skynet IS...Undergoing Repairs Atm.Please re-insert plug and rebootTat's absurd implication is that for having the temerity to merely criticize extremists, Biden is reacting just like W Bush did after 9/11. This is pretty rich, as 1/6 was also an unprecedented event, and rather than overreacting, some politicians have actually been defending the dirtbags, and comparing a violent insurrection to "free political discourse".
Of the people being prosecuted, every one of them has solid evidence of guilt, mainly because so many of the morons actually took selfies of themselves committing crimes. The bulk of them have not been arrested through some draconian government dragnet, but identification by acquaintances, co-workers and even family members, disgusted by what they did.

...I don't really get it. Why is Tats going full color for the weekly strips, rather than just sunday? Is he trying to impress someone - anyone - with his "lovely" style? Is he trying to underline his "enlightened" message? Is he being a "genius" as usual?
(replace the terms between quotes with various variations of "moron" used as verb or adjective in order to get the actual post)
Platypi hold the secret to happiness.
I really think he's decided to go full Ben Garrison, and target an alt-right audience.
We'll see if that's the case, and old Sinfest, it's stories and characters finally gets put out of it's misery, while he turns to a weird sort of "political commentary" (IE alt-right lunatic raving) hoping to at last see those big Patrion bucks, or better yet, a steady gig at Breitbart or some other electronic fishwrap.
A worst possible scenario would be for him to continue a Zombie Sinfest with Criminy spouting Promise Keeper and Young Earth Creationism and Slick becoming a Qanon mouthpiece.

Which really is a betrayal of our historical roots! The Constitution authorizes granting letters of marque and reprisal: authorization for privately owned warships with privately owned cannon to attack and plunder other nations' vessels. Pretty cool, huh?
(I think there was an early Simpsons episode in which Bart fantasized about flying his own F-14 and demolishing his school.)

Why is Tats going full color for the weekly strips, rather than just sunday?
He's been posting strips in full color for months on twitter, and then degrading them to greyscale for Sinfest. The greyscale strips aren't as legible as the color ones. Why go to the extra work of making a separate, and crappier, version?

Privateering went out of fashion when the USA had a real federal government able to afford building (and maintaining) an actual navy - last references I can find with a quick google refers to the war in 1812 and the American Civil War 1861 to 165
Technically I suppose you could still get a letter of marquee, somehow buy a warship that wasn't in the scrapyards, and sail the high seas mass murdering merchant seamen but you'd only be allowed to attack defined targets for the duration of the war anyway
Plus if you came across a real warship you'd be dead. Honestly you'd contribute more to a country's war effort by buying warbonds than buying (and manning) a warship nowadays

... somehow buy a warship that wasn't in the scrapyards ...
We sell or give older but still serviceable weapons — including warships — to other countries all the time. Buying from third parties wouldn't be excluded. Should be pretty easy, if you have enough money. (A generally true statement about everything.)
Just ask Pepsi where they get replacements for their armada.

Uh-oh. All is not well in MAGA-Town. Or are we about to see the mother of all backtracks as Tats makes the claim that the whole prostitution thing isn't really THAT bad?
Edited by AsherTye on Sep 21st 2022 at 7:34:28 AM
Tat has been extremely cynical about the family, like forever, and he always assumes Dad to be abusive and a john, Tex and Pumpkin aside.
This appears to be deeply ingrained and he's going to have a hard time letting go over there in the beating heart of modern patriarchy. He still hates other men for some reason.
