Bondage and Dominion were really nothing-characters just as the rouge fembots were. However, suddenly unperson-ing them gives the illusion that something dramatic happened. I know we've talked about this before...but Tatsuya made Devil Corp over-powered. When it comes to Batman and Superman, I LOVE Batman much more. There are limitations. But whenever it is Superman, it always feels like there's some new skill that can just be thrown in there to suit the situation.

Devil Corp can: mass produce drones, make giant robots, stop aging, etc., etc., but they can't stop a rag tag group of tweens? There are times where I STILL think this is all some long con game and this entire strip is satire.

I've given up hope, but for a long time I was wondering whether Tats was going to give us a Heel–Face Turn and repudiate most of a decade of radical feminism. This suspicion was strengthened by Tats showing his "good" characters (Monique, Xanthe, Hekate) to be rather unlikeable jerks, and the "evil" ones (including Satan himself!) to be kind of reasonable and mellow. I was hoping that Tats was being financially supported and/or emotionally blackmailed by a dogmatic radfem, and he was subverting the overt message with hints and clues to indicate that he didn't really take that stuff seriously.

Nope. Didn't happen.

Sadly, I think it might be even worse than that. I hope that I’m wrong.

Instead of just following one hateful belief and throwing the previous one away once he changes his mind, Tats just absorbs the new one and integrates it into his mindset, ignoring the contradictions that follow.

For example, a purely TERF Tats would never have a manly, gun-toting right-wing dad as a hero. Yet here we are.

It’s like an unholy, disjointed mutant chimera of clashing ideologies which heads bite each other until they see a common enemy.

I can see him conflate Q Anon’s “Satanic Cabal of vampiric pedos” with Trans/wokes in general. He DID try to imply trans people are covert pedos in the past; not a huge stretch for him to also say they harvest Adrenochrone from children too, right?

He does seem to be de-emphasizing some of the elements of his created world, though. The Sisterhood's appearances are becoming rare, and he seems to be neutralizing most fembots.

When it comes to this, and I hate to admit it, Tatsuya must have seen that conservatives were taking nibbles at his material. Without knowing his actual comic and the stuff he wrote in the past, the people on the right probably look at his conspiracy material and assume that he is speaking for them.

In the Book of Mormon (I promise, I am NOT trying to proselytize, it just matches the situation perfectly) there was a prophet that tried preaching in a city. He was cast out, but he noticed that his message was received by the poor. He came to the conclusion that they were "humbled of heart" and he stopped talking to the rich and started preaching only to the poor. He could sense they were receptive to his message.

We are seeing the same thing. I think the rad fems are going to be as receptive as they are going to be to Tatsuya. But I think he is realizing that just preaching to the choir isn't going to be enough. He also burnt all good will to the people on the left.

Buy HEY! Look at all these guys over here on the right who's guy just lost an election. Man. I may be a Republican and a conservative. But I KNOW Tatsuya is an asshole. But most people who had any right-leaning views probably checked out of this comic YEARS ago. Since he wasn't part of the scene, there are probably a few people who don't know him.

But he's not really going to have any luck there either, I think. Because honestly, nobody cares about his politics. They aren't particularly insightful nor interesting. His largest hits on Twitter were his anti-trans works. I hate to say that a majority of his likes are probably from conservatives as well as rad fems. But his work outside of anti-SJW jokes just isn't...conservative. I can't explain it, but his work just doesn't sound like what a conservative would say. His jabs at the SJW crowd might go over well with the conservative crowd, but nothing else will land.

His Twitter count is falling and I think a part of him is loathe to appeal to the conservatives.

I too suspect that it's a case of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," but for a slightly different reason.

I'm ever more convinced that there's something going on in Tats' life that triggered his crusade against the Great Transgender Conspiracy, most likely that a friend or relative transitioned and Tats couldn't deal with it. Aha! That person must have been brainwashed into it, most likely by Big Pharma.

Tats might not agree with any other issue on the right — given his track record, I'd be surprised if he did — but right-wingers are now his allies since they tend to be skeptical of trans legitimacy, and the Biden administration seems to be going Full Metal Woke. (For example, Kamala Harris lists her pronouns on her website.)

I feel that Tat's anti-transgender crusade is simply derived from how far he's down the ultra-radfem rabbit hole

If you look at his attitudes via the Sinfest strip over the last decade or so, you see him getting more and deeply into it

He wouldn't be the first ultra rad feminist to fall in love with the christian conservative right wing and he won't be the last

The big difference is a lot of the christian conservative right wing do try to be decent people who also give a toss about others.

Tats, however, is a moral solipsist whose morality seems to be heavily biased on hating 1 in 250 adult americans for being different.

Indeed not. It was bizarre back in the 1980s (the heyday of Tat's brand of radical feminism) to have seen radical feminists joining hands with a group of men who would probably have liked to have seen them imprisoned, if not stoned to death, at least the lesbians among them.

The unifying issue was, of course, one of Tat's favorite hobby horses, pornography, which back then extended to even Playboy magazine.

And one of the many disturbing aspects of Qanon nuttery is that Human Trafficking is a real crime, committed by really horrible people, but such ridiculous nonsense draws attention away from the real world issue, and makes law enforcement's job more difficult.

If Tats is legitimately concerned about that issue, Qanon should be the very last place to get involved, and he's actually working against efforts to eradicate it.

It's strips like this that make me wonder if Tats is insane or trying to mock Q Anon.

The Bow chika Wow Wow tune, the tagline, Tex sneaking out of bed, the references to Pornhub and the use of the word hardcore shows Tats is going for a secret porn session vibe

At this point, it's a tossup whether or not Tats starts scweaming from the rooftops that the election was stolen and that Q is right about everything

I suppose this is Tats’ way of telling he’s NOT, in fact, a Q follower. Maybe.

Another thing: I know that might be just a joke, even if it’s rooted in his “I hate porn, therefore everything else I hate is also porn” mentality but...

I don’t think Tats knows a large side of the most religiously devoted, fanatical worshippers of Q are women. Examples are Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, or the countless “Facebook moms”.

If he wants to make Q a “man” thing, then he got it wrong.
