Eh, this is pretty much par for the course for Tats, even before the Sisterhood showed up. Tats' storytelling has always been stop and go. I think you are ascribing more malice to it than is warranted.
Obviously, the Devil took advantage of Hekate and then hid that from Lilith to take advantage of her, and Hekate couldn't tell anything to Lilith because patriarchy.
There, you have it.
Fair point, but I don't think I'm wrong about the reasoning. I'd have to go back through the archives to confirm, but it seems like since the radfem stuff started, the plots that get abandoned are the ones where Tats' point has been made clear, but analyzing it any further would raise questions he doesn't want to answer (like Dissociating Ghost Hooker and the Ho Whisperer, that one's the most glaring one for me).
Nah, Hekate can't be victimized like that, that would mean she loses to someone— a male someone.
Anyone out there manage to give a flying <radio edit> about this one?
Pettyfest is knocking this 4th rate trash out of the park recently
Tats, if that's your way to attempt to humanize Xanthe let me tell you that it's not really working. You get a D for effort.
, The worst sin of Sinfest is that it has become boring.

I'm pretty sure Tats backed out of the Lil E Meets His Dad plotline because it can't go anywhere without depicting a male character in a positive way and/or at least one female character in a negative way, and we can't have that, can we?
[Possible backstories omitted]
In B, Hekate, who can fight God with a wave of her hand and currently holds title for "Most Powerful Being in Sinfest's Universe", becomes the kind of backstabber that fucks her incorruptibly pure best friend's man just because she can, gets knocked up, resents the father, and abandons her son to be raised in Hell because she hates men and won't make an exception for her own child.
That's it, I think, except that I suspect Satan dated both of them at the same time but eventually chose Lilith — to Hekate's dismay. Hekate almost certainly did not tell Lilith that she was stepping out with Satan, though, and she might have deliberately gotten pregnant in an attempt to force Satan to choose her. (Here's that scenario, one more time!)
Tats has gone a long, long way out of his way to make sure the audience knows that Lilith is Good and Pure and Hekate is a Powerful Protector of the Innocent, and doing anything to continue this plotline is going to ruin some part of that for somebody.
Yup. And as I said, I suspect that nothing will happen to advance this particular story line because Tats needs approval from Someone Else ... and he ain't gettin' it.

Well I'm back, Universal Orlando was the bomb! Simpsons ride was the favorite BTW. Now, whad I miss?
(Looks over past comics.)
More and more of the drones continuing to suck, and Tats shitting on the Woke for not being the kind of Woke HE likes. Again, the similarities he has with the Religious Right are astounding.
Wait a tic. What's that comic with Linus?
OH GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU PUMPKIN FETISHISTIC LITTLE SHIT! Charlie Brown gets a restraining order, but Linus gets a keep the faith for his delusions because of your "oh so quirky" love for pumpkin spiced garbage!?
Well, Hekate is more "Powerful" than "Protector of the Innocent" anyway.
See https://www.sinfest.net/view.php?date=2016-04-09. She says:"Social Justice? Over witchcraft? What kind of values are you teaching her?". Here Nana states "...you always saw good in everyone..." while looking at the image of Hekate and Lilith. Hakate definitely isn't as good as Tats current ideology requires.
New Retro Pettyfest, once again showing that if Tats didn't have double standards, he'd have NO standards.
Even more so because whenever she paints Crimeny, he's always depicted as a muscular Adonis that would be right at home on a romance novel. Apparently, it's perfectly fine for a woman to sexualize a man, but if the roles are reversed, it's the greatest crime imaginable.
If Xanthe wasn't such an ass, I would think this comic was passable. However, in the grand scheme of things it's another case of pointless filler.
Indeed. To me it's still like watching Hitler play dress-up offering free sexist drinks to 100% NATURAL BORN WOMEN - Jews anything born with a penis can sod right off kthxbye
Nazifest rules still apply.
Tats is also making sure we don't forget there's zombies everywhere.
In the current comic, Xanthe doesn't look as if she's enjoying her time in the booth. She's there but she's totally uninvolved — flat affect.
So basically, her default state of being whenever pumpkin spiced crap isn't involved.
Either flat affect or simmering, self-righteous anger.
Hayate. You are reminding me of the Nazifest edits people used to do.

As I've said, the amazing thing about Tats using Sinfest as a propaganda vehicle is that he's so amazingly inept and ineffective at it.
So what the frak IS the message here? And when did Handmaids become zombies?
I'm guessing because sex workers who don't actively desire to leave their situation are just as indoctrinated to the patriarchy as the Johns who use them. But at least Xanthe didn't behead the poor handmaiden.
But even still there's the apparent double standard that the zombie handmaiden was still civilized enough to try and pay for the cupcake and also deserved to get it for free, while any suffering male would be depicted as trying to take things by violence and also not deserving of any help or handouts. Why did this girl need to be a zombie, anyway? This would've worked just as well with any random old sadsack.
Finally! We see a woman zombie and it is just as hilarious and awkward as I was hoping.
First, kudos to Tats because he made the woman a bit sympathetic although outlandishly so. You all might remember her (although they all look the same so it's hard to tell them apart), that is the woman who Tat's used for the "disassociation" arc.
I am too lazy to go back that far, but remember that skit where the men passed through her? That was supposed to be symbolic of sexual acts with different partners. Then, remember how they kept telling her to say that she liked it? And then she finally did?
Tat's is basically saying this is the end result of women who engage in sex work. Also notice how he employs cold blues on her side and warm colors on Xanthe's side. Notice how the trees are barren on the woman's side and green on Xanthe's side (or slowly dying via autumn; Tat's your visual metaphors still need work).
Also, the crown in this whole thing is Tatsuya saying that the woman is so conditioned to use her body she strips down to get a muffin. Xanthe, being the insightful person she is looks on in dismay as this woman, a shadow of her former self, is stripping for muffins.
MWA HA HA HA HA! Sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face. But seriously, I would wear a shirt that says "Will strip for muffins".
HOWEVER. There is a modicum of respect earned here! Tat has FINALLY showed a woman zombie. As creatures worthy of pity. Like Smegol from Lord of the Rings. But with muffins.
Oh Tatsuya. I KNEW you wouldn't let me down!
I wonder what the prostitute zombies will be called, "Hoembies".
I think the hidden message will end up that "some sex workers are indoctrinated by the patriarchy and are brainwashed enough to stand up for sex workers having rights"
Just the Swerf croo-sade kicking it up a notch
At least Xanthe acted like someone who gave a toss about someone she wouldn't automatically approve of for once, which is a small miracle in itself
Tats is still trying to force the zombie metaphor and making it less effective than it already was.
At least before it was obvious you were supposed to hate and disagree with the male zombies. It was stupid, but clear.
Now Tats has expanded the idea to women zombies who suddenly need to be pitied and are so stupid that they instantly try to sell their bodies for free cupcakes.
This is pathetic. The metaphor was already dead and Tats still found a way to hit the bottom and to keep digging straight down.
It's a special talent at this point!
I think Tats realized that he needed a substitute for fembots as metaphors for women whose minds have been "colonized" by the Patriarchy. Now that Tats' TERF views are out in the open, fembots can be taken as metaphors representing trans people — women-shaped, therefore women! So his readers can't be allowed to have any sympathy for them!
