@Phforest, the rad-fems are the black ants. They are no match for fire ants, which is the majority. The rad-fems were all well and good about social justice until it didn't focus on just women anymore.
It has happened at least once in the past in the uk. It did make the headlines sometime last year
Here we go
Note that in this case, this was an offender who had a history of twenty years of predatory behaviour, before deciding to start transitioning, and probably shouldn't have been allowed near vulnerable adults at all. The ministry of prisons actually apologised for moving her into a women's prison
That's the only instance I've heard of occurring in the uk. One bad apple doesn't make a case study though, or represent an entire category of people

Speaking of which, Francis 81, if we are talking about irrational fears:
(I hesitated in sharing this directly and hoped others would find it on their own, but check THIS out for irrationality)
Someone brought up the idea of scientific progress and what would be the case when science gets to a place where sex is super malleable...
"...while I agree that sex shouldn't be concealed I disagree that we can't say that people really can NOT change sex. They can't. Science is not there, and I don't think it should get there. If men already hate women enough imagine when they find out a viable way of gestating kids outside of a female body? You really think they won't get rid of women? They will. A lot of them are misogynists for crying out loud. They will paint it as benefitial to us, but they will exterminate us."
FUCKING CRAZY. And the crazy thing is, to them it is not crazy thinking because that is what that group of crazies want deep down inside to do to men. This person feels that men "ALREADY" hate women enough to wipe out all women. What a tool.
That is on the forum still. You can find it easy. I screen-shot that hot mess on my phone.
That is the epitome of irrational, tin-foil-hat-wearing fear, thinking that one half of a civilization wants to get rid of another half of a civilization. Unlike Tat and Mystery Guest, I have a successful marriage and I love my wife. Thinking one half of the poplultion wants to wipe out the other half isn't common sentiment, you two. It's just you. Because you are bat shit crazy. I mean that deeply, almost as a plea for you to get help, but at the same time I kinda don't want the crazy to end.
It's kind of like some feminists found Sinfest and were all like, "Oh wow! A comic that actually talks about feminism! Let's take a look and - Oh God. OH GOD. Okay. We'll remove THAT dollar from Patreon. CLICK."
At least with the MR As they don't think that the other half of the world wants to kill them (at least that I have seen; I am willing to bet there's a crazy on that side to that scale SOMEWHERE on the internet).

Thank you Needs Air Con for the input. It's not much, but I guess it's enough for those Rad Fems to see themselves as the victims. Especially following the death threats sent by some other feminists.
EDIT: and Gibson 35 I agree with you. I've seen that post already on the yellow forums.

Women don't have penises? RADICAL! BURN THE WITCH!
Pretty sure that's referring in a hostile manner to Mt F transexuals to help Tats hit his daily Terf quota
Yeah, I guessed that, but I was still amused at how random that line seemed.
If he had wanted to make it about transgenders, he should have made it "women can't get penises", or something.
Edited by Redmess on Jun 11th 2019 at 1:03:23 PM
That would be too honest and undercut his daily quotum of straw men.
It's actually somewhat of a double straw man, since Tats not only pretends that non-radicals find the idea of "women don't have penises" ridiculous, but also pretends that the only thing that the radicals are claiming about trans sexuality is that a woman doesn't have a penis.
It's a gross oversimplification of the issue that's meant to paint one side as good and the other as bad.
There was a comment on the yellow forum yesterday, where a new poster talked about some problems with the comic. It was surprisingly even-handed, and they mentioned a lot of the same problems I have: a once complex storyline with well-rounded characters has been reduced to a treatise on a single issue, and now all the characters are two-dimensional representations of the author's argument about feminism.
Tat's mouthpiece responded by focusing on ONE ELEMENT of the argument ("white feminism") and branded the poster a troll.
So what do we see today? A Radfem represented by a POC. If Tats and Celina aren't the same person then Celina is still calling the shots.
On the subject of the horseshoe effect, TV Tropes links to this wonderful comic.
On the subject of the insanity of second-wave radical feminism, I think a lot you people would enjoy Das Sporking's sporkings of Feminist Fairy Tales and Amazon by Bradley G. Walker.
Fair warning, Walker's is stuff is less TERF-ness and more religious insanity and idiocy.

Makes me think that the only experience Tats has with Transgender people is the webcomic Assigned Male. The claim of "women can have penises" HAS been made in that comic, but then the person making that comic is their own brand of crazy.
Edited by Metalix on Jun 11th 2019 at 7:18:24 AM
Well, it's still complex, just not in a good way. The plot is a hot mess of plot snippets and loose threads that don't get addressed for months or years, plot threads just pick up and stop without any setup. This comic needs a flow chart to follow all the story at this point.
Most stories are either plot-driven or character-driven. Game of Thrones is an example of a story that was primarily character driven, up until the last season when they had to wrap up the story quickly, so you had incidences of people acting completely out of character in order to bring the plot to where it needed to be.
Sinfest is now neither character-driven or plot-driven, it's message-driven. Tats seems to have zero interest in developing characters or telling a story, he's just jumping from one non-sequitur to the next whenever he comes up with a new metaphor for the message. I think he'd be better served by releasing these as Jack Chick tracts.
Whenever he calls someone a troll it pisses me off. Its just so intellectually lazy. And then you know they are instant-banned before they can say anything. The quote I shared seems very much like a great tactic to keep people in a cult through fear. Nobody said, "Uh, that's a bit extreme don't you think?" Because they know what happens when you disagree.
If this how they treat people outside their group, I wonder how they would treat a deserter.

Tats continues to sound more and more like Jordan Peterson or someone of his ilk.
Not that I'm defending postmodernism, again, but hating on it like this doesn't seem like a very radical, progressive, or leftist thing to do.
But I guess Tats has abandoned the left for his own weird brand of horseshoe crazy now.
I wonder when he's going to start campaigning for Lyndon La Rouche or someone along those lines.
(Now watch, I just introduced him to that guy and now he's going to be all gung-ho for him).

"Help me running gag, help me! What else am I supposed to do?? Please! If I don't get more backers soon I'm going to have to admit my dad was right about me!"
Edited by Gibson35 on Jun 11th 2019 at 8:18:07 AM
Yeah, these running gags in modern Sinfest make me cringe.
Can't even make the simplest running gag work anymore.
I guess I should just be happy it wasn't the alien from Pedotron again.
Is it me, or today's strip is as funny as an old, faded phonebook? I mean, okay, the alien is extremely long-winded (long-scripted?), so what?
I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere with a couple of years worth of heavy editing and rewrites
With the added fun in that one of Xanthe's first comics had her giving a long worded lecture to Slick. She then told him to look it up himself when he asked for some definitions to those words.
Evidently, Tatsuya thinks it's hilarious and once again is posting out into the void (aka: his own forum), hoping that someone joins in the laugh. Oh, sorry, did I say Tatsuya? I meant to say ZAIIB who is most definitely not Tat desperately seeking validation from whatever few fans he has left. No. It is MOST DEFINITELY not Tatsuya consistently trying to keep his forum alive and people talking about his comic. It's an honest to God woman. I swear.
Seriously, how deliciously hypocritical and self-serving would it be if he has a comic that lampoons trans people and yet he STILL creates a fake person so he can debate radical feminism and scream that his comic is so pro-woman as a woman? For PROFIT?? I honestly would not put it past him.

Pfhorrest LaRouche finally checked out just this year at the age of 96, so Tats would have to find someone else. Or maybe not. Maybe he'd do it anyway.
It's not often that Xanthe manages to channel the feelings of the audience correctly, but this time it fits. Probably not intentional at Tats's end, but okay!
I don't know how Tats manages to screw up an easy longstanding running gag like this. This is just really bad.
If it weren't for the surrounding context of modern Sinfest, I'd think that this was actually a pretty good joke at the expense of postmodernism. For the people who don't get it: postmodernist journals routinely publish papers with titles like "Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity" (Google that one, there's a fun story behind it), with contents that look like this (reload that page to get another brand new article, as many times as you like). It's incomprehensible, intentionally obscurantist nonsense, that does deserve to be mocked.
The problem with this comic, in context, is that Tats is saying that everything to do with transgender people is just that kind of obscurantist nonsense, which is of course wrong.
