And Baby Blue can still rock the classic duds.
I wonder why she is down there now.
Why are there only men in hell? I know why, because this is Tats, but still.
Blue is off duty. This is what she does for fun.
Sinfest, where the story is now so rubbish even the demons of Hell aren't enjoying the torture it causes anymore
Blue looks like Absinthe just kissed her on the cheek while she was watching Fuschia and Criminy be lovey-dovey on the screens
Since she's the only female character still allowed to be evil (by Tat's standards) maybe something big is going to start happenning to her?
Only the next three years can tell!
Skynet Is Inevitable. Skynet IS...Undergoing Repairs Atm.Please re-insert plug and rebootThis is basically the same as yesterday, but a bit more elaborate.
Yes, Blue does this as a hobby. She enjoys being a bona fide Devil Girl, tormenting the damned.
The climbing is new, though. We used to only see waving arms, until Story Time escaped.
I think the implication since the beginning may have been that women become devil girls, while men burn in the flame pit. It was never all that explicit, but now that you mention it, I don't think Tats has EVER shown an obvious female in the hell pit. It could be as simple as Tats not feeling comfortable drawing women burning in hell, which is hardly an uncommon or radical sentiment.
Optimism is a duty.I don't think Tats has EVER shown an obvious female in the hell pit.
I'm pretty sure that Monique has been in Hell, temporarily, but not in the Pit. Other than her, no human women at all.
I think the implication since the beginning may have been that women become devil girls, while men burn in the flame pit.
I think it's more likely that Tats (or whoever) thinks that women are too innocent, too pure, too kind, too nice to deserve Hell.
Sudden thought: What I'd like to see is Xanthe taking a stroll through Hell ... and the other demons saluting her.

It's impossible to know whether it is the one or the other. It could be a combination of both.
I don't think it is particularly damning for Tats, either. It is just part of the general background sexism baked in our culture, and works mostly on a subconscious level. I doubt Tats ever really thought consciously about not putting women in the flame pit.
Optimism is a duty.Could it be Blue is in Hell looking for Fuschia? The last interaction I remember her having with her boss was that he wanted to find Fusch and put her in charge of the search.
Or am I reading too much into this?
Anyone who still reads this comic is reading too much into this, I'd wager. And with that note, welcome to the club.
I'll assume this is supposed to show that she still misses Fuchsia?
Probably from the looks of it.
I don't blame her. Even putting aside the friendship/love she had for her, Absinthe is just a pain in the ass.
Why is Fushchia's room still being kept? You'd think the Devil would have handed it over to Abby...
That's what I was thinking, too. Maybe he just doesn't care to change it?
Or maybe it is a passive agressive form of patriarchy? "I kept your room, because as far as I am concerned, you STILL live here, and you still belong to me." Yeah, that sounds just like the sort of psychological warfare the Devil would like.
Optimism is a duty.I think that's Blue's room. When Fuchsia left the Mansion, Blue kept her butterfly painting and her nerf pitchfork.
Panels would make this strip easier to interpret, but here's what seems to be going on: Blue is dressing in her room after a fun session of torturing Johnbies. Blue walks to the door of her room. Blue is exiting her room. Shot of the empty bedroom with Fuchsia's nerf pitchfork on Blue's pillow.
By the way, Tats is recycling the chandelier in her room from other strips that show chandeliers in the Mansion. I can't say I blame him, since it's probably a pain to draw.

Can you imagine how it must be for a new reader to see this comic as the first one? It's probably impossible to understand what it's supposed to mean!
Yes I can. It's called Continuity Lockout, and it's hardly unheard of.
Optimism is a duty. But the humor! The humor leaps off the screen and into your heart!
New strip, six hours after the Patreon people got it:

I wonder if Blue is starting to get burned out?
Alright, let's see how you do Abbie.
Subtitle: "Not what I signed up for". If that is literal, the unbelievable green imbecile literally signed up as a DEVIL GIRL ASSISTANT in the qucking DEVIL MANSION expecting NOT to do any Devil duty. Then again, she showed hints of it in the past... she seems to think that she does some sort of "make a wish foundation" deal in the Devil's booth (somehow missing the clearly visible "$ your soul" on the front) and everything, after all.
GIRL, YOU ARE A QUCKING DEVIL! AN AGENT OF EVIL! WAKE THE QUCK UP AND SMELL THE QUCKING COFFEE!
Platypi hold the secret to happiness.I still wonder if she might really be a high-ranking demon who has gone undercover for some reason. Perhaps we'll find out some day, but I think for that to happen Tats would need to do a major retcon ... and have a strong incentive to do it.
This is what it feels like to read Sinfest. Just as you think he's crawled himself out of the pits of bad writing some bullshit shows up and knocks it right back down.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.
