Weird. My school has official university-sanctioned gatherings for both games.

Midnight: As a physics undergrad who's planning to pursue a Master's in Engineering, can I join the engineer party? tongue (I would like to specialise in renewable energy, particularly bioenergy or solar power, as a note)

On a different note: If a professor ever asks you if you want to mark a first year course, the correct answer is no, no you do not.

[up][up]

Mine has none of these things.

One of my friends had to get therapy.

First session was free, all subsequent ones she had to pay for.

sad

[up][up] Sure, come hang with us grin After all, hard-science people are cool too. Engineers need scientists, and scientists need engineers.

(Here is a quite interesting little mini-essay on the relationship between science and engineering; too bad it's buried in a lot of Star Wars vs. Star Trek Fan Wank).

Aaaaugh, I have a 2 1/2 hour class of The Courtroom as a Social System. Sounds fascinating on paper. Too bad the professor is an old judge with lots of experience but no sense of how to teach an interesting class.

Okay, we did just have a fascinating discussion analyzing the motivations of the jurors from Twelve Angry Men. So that was cool.

Now it's back to droning.

You know these homeworks which look easy in theory, but in practice are hard? I have one of these to do for Thursday noon.

Also, I forgot how devilish Programming homeworks can be.

"Nice, this feature is done and works properly, now I only need to add this last tiny function..."

"STACKOVERFLOW! INFINITE LOOP! NULLPOINTER EXCEPTION!"

"Oh Jesus fucking CHRIST no! What's going on!"

[up] Bored much?

Just finished the rough draft of a Math project I was supposed to finish two days ago. I couldn't get the graph because Fucking Excel wouldn't do the bloody graph right!

Excel is a gigantic pain in the ass. Always. No exceptions.

Excel is pretty cool and useful; it's just that I'm not as good with it because I don't use it as frequently as Word or Powerpoint.

Now MATLAB is seriously annoying. Every time I try to do something, there's a problem with the syntax.

I didn't like exceel. But maybe it's because back when I had to use it, my teacher provided us with terrible terrible instruction on how to do things.

'sigh' I was absent from Tuesday's lecture because I was at a funeral. A friend said he'd record it for me, but now that I check the files, he's only sent me 25 minutes of 90 minutes total.
