Something just came into my head: Did people stop calling Link To The Past "Zelda 3" and Links Awakening "Zelda 4" at some point?
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I would hope so.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI'd imagine once the younger generation popped up calling Oo T Zelda 1 and MM Zelda 2, the others just sorta got angry and stopped their own fallacies.
But there's no proof.
Fallacies? Isn't that the release order? I know it's not a common practice in this fandom, but the Fire Emblem fans number the games despite them not being officially numbered, and no one seems to mind.

I don't really see anything wrong with calling them Zelda 3 and Zelda 4, as they came after Zelda 2. It used to be rather common practice.
The Metroid games are actually also officially numbered, with Super Metroid being Metroid 3 and Metroid Fusion being Metroid 4.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Yes...because he was listing the games as numbers, in chronological order. You can't list the Oracle games in chronological order, so you have to include them together. One follows the other, and there's no way to tell which is which. Hell, they were released on the same day, so listing them both as the seventh release is technically correct.
Yeah, what Bad Wolf said.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarTo be fair, I understand that treating them in the same fashion as the various Pokemon titles (and other series that release separate but nearly-identical versions of the same game) is incorrect due to how different the two Oracle games are, but the linked game is the full story. Ages and Seasons are two halves of the same game. For convenience's sake, it's easier to list them together as one, complete experience than muddling things with designations like 7A, 7B, 7.1, 7.2, whatever floats your boat. No need to get fussy about it.

I can't see why that would even bother someone at all to see the site called that.
Seriously, did I miss a Zelda V Majora war or something?
