They could text message with that slate thing.
It would be kind of funny to finally confirm the character as actually mute, though.
They gave Zelda a voice, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ganondorf got one too. He was never meant as a blank slate like Link was. That is if ReDead Ganondorf is going to be sentient enough to be a character.
Hoping he is and he gets development, though.
Link speaking though...weird thing is that his journal entries were written from his perspective in the Japanese version, but were written as second person in the English version. I don't think they want to get rid of his blank slate-itude.

Breath of the Wild 2 is looking really exciting, good to see Ganondorf is back.
Bot W Link isn't voiced, but he certainly talks. I mean, we choose dialog options for him. For some interactions, he gestures like he's talking, and then the NPC reacts like he's explained something.
So he could talk to Zelda without being voiced.
I'm thinking Ganondorf will slowly regain his intelligence as the story continues.
I feel like Ganon from waking up will be able to think again and will be on the quest to rehydrate for the final battle.
I think it'd be cool if one of these games they just... had Link start using sign language. It's a meta gag and representation in one. (Which would make the exposition fairy of the game a helper he actually needs around for story reasons....)
That's not somethign for the BOTW sequel, just something I think would be interesting to include in the future.
Liking the creepier vibe this trailer has.
Canonically I believe Bot W Link can talk but chooses not to, for fear of making a fool of himself.
Yeah, I think Zelda's diary says something along those lines. He stays quiet because he feels like he has to, or something? I also vaguely remember an implication that he used to talk more, but doesn't anymore.
Dead Link speaks in TP, it just wasn't voiced. SS Link got a snarky-ass dialogue option or two as well.
He copes with being a fated hero by being quiet and stoic, basically. Of course, that went away when he ended up amnesiac, so...
Indeed he did.

I thought Zelda's diary just talked about seals.
At this info has reminded me that I still haven't actually beat Bot W.
...I really need to get on that.
RE: Weirdguy 149
I'm of that opinion too, Ganondorf will regain his intellect and have actually meaningful conversations with Zelda and Link.
Anyone think multiplayer is a possibility for the sequel, it was said that multiplayer was considered for Bo TW.
Imagine if the game ends with Link, Zelda and Ganondorf having a talk before their final showdown.
Yeah, imagine the final confrontation of Wind Waker, but much more somber.
In an interview with IGN, Aonuma says the team developing BotW 2 drew heavy inspiration from Red Dead Redemption 2.
It'll be an interesting twist on the formula if they go that route, yeah. Wind Waker Ganondorf is probably one of the most mature and interesting interpretations of him, after all; he's got the experience and wisdom of actually being fairly old. If the glowing arm in the trailer has anything to do with Hylia, then we might get some discussion of the Demise cycle from the three people who it affects the most strongly.
Link catches tuberculosis confirmed.
Also, we get to see Epona's ballsack. Hey, listen! I realize she's a girl, just go with the bit.

Not having any interest in playing Red Dead Redemption 2, I'm not at all sure what getting inspiration from it means.
Or we could not make weirdly sexual jokes about horses at all.

I'd say he is the best version of Ganondorf, period.
It's an attention to detail reference from Red Dead Redemption 2. One of Red Dead's Doing It for the Art moments was that (spoilered for what can be considered squicky details) horse testicles actually visibly descend and draw up based on temperature.
