I'm kind of hoping for a greater variety of armies and NPC officers. Like imagine a Zora army with towering River Zoras leading the charge, or Goron bruisers who look like the miniboss from Twilight Princess.

Maybe add some guardians to the Hylian army?
Would you really trust those things after they already got corrupted?
Then again, it's not like the Hylian Knights haven't been corrupted either, when they aren't just plain useless.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean... its not their fault the king forgot to update his firewall before using them against Ganon.
I honestly don't know if that would have mattered.
Ganon is supposed to win at first, so that Zelda gets captured and then Link shows up to fuck him up.
Hyrule broke the rules with the Guardians and Divine Beasts before, so destiny gave him a freebie by letting him utterly wreck them this time, probably worst than he ever did before (sure, he's wrecked Hyrule previously, but not for 100 years like he did this time).
I think that even if the King had used the absolute best network Security, Pig Man would have still gotten past it because it's literally what he's supposed to do: achieve stage one of putting his foot up Hyrule's ass...then have the same done to him by Link.
One Strip! One Strip! He wrecked it even worse in Wind Waker than he did in BotW.
Well Hyrule Warriors is its own continuity.
Octoroks should be an officer type in the sequel, the Zora could even use them sometimes.
I'd like to see Goriyas return and make their 3D debut in Hyrule Warriors 2, anyone remember those guys? They were bipedal scottish terriers that threw boomerangs◊.
No. Technically the Goddesses did that, and only because there was literally no hero to eventually stop him.
Without the hero at all, they were left with no choice but to flood Hyrule to buy time, but Ganon never got the chance to wreck Hyrule because the Goddess basically put it in a water based Suspended Animation.
One Strip! One Strip! That's really a distinction without a difference.
Fair enough.
One Strip! One Strip! So what enemies would you two like to see in the next Zelda?
I admit, I wouldn't mind seeing the Guardians return, though I'd like to see them as the allies to Link they were meant to be.
One Strip! One Strip!I want to see an Iron Knuckle and a Darknut appear in the same game, and given some differing characteristics so they're easy to tell apart.
I imagine that could happen in one of the spinoffs.
While the two have never appeared in the same game, Iron Knuckles have been Mighty Glaciers with gigantic axes since OOT, whilst Darknuts have consistently stuck to using one handed weapons and shields with a defensive focus.
Also Darknuts have been depicted as Jackal knights, similar in appearance to moblins in Wind Waker.

Iron Knuckles haven't appeared in a game since Majora's Mask, where they were just duplicates of the Ocarina version. It's disingenuous to say that all Iron Knuckles since Ocarina have wielded giant axes, when that only includes one game where said Iron Knuckles are re-used assets.
RE: Will Keaton
True, but Ocarina of Time is an extremely influential game, even by Zelda's high standards.
Yes, which means it is likely that future Iron Knuckles will be guys with big axes. I wouldn't mind if that was the case, I think that's a good idea. But it still hasn't happened yet.
RE: Will Keaton
Some other distinctions on Iron Knuckles to use in an appearance with Darknuts:
- In AOL, they were implicitly Animated Armor as their helm seems to show an empty face and several Knuckles were just stage decor.
- In OOT, the only Iron Knuckle we see without Armor was a brainwashed Gerudo.
- In AOL, Iron Knuckles were actually creations of the King of Hyrule as part of his Only the Worthy May Pass challenge.

Who are your favorite minor Zelda characters? I always feel bad for Link's Uncle at the beginning of A Link to the Past—the rain plus how he dies so quickly without accomplishing anything sets a really melancholy mood for the opening of the game, and it left an impression on me. I also like Farore from the Oracle games, as well as Maple, and the Maidens from Four Swords Adventures.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I've always liked Prince Komali. I think I like his design, his character development, and the fact he just seems like a nice guy.
I like the daughter with the zombie dad from Majora's Mask as well as the Happy Mask Salesman and Kass.
It's been 3000 years…When you say minor characters, you mean characters who aren't somehow re-occuring (like say Beedle or Malon and Talon) right?
Then I'll go with Kafei. First time in the series you controlled someone besides Link.
One Strip! One Strip!Wouldn't that go to the hero and heroine from the BS Zelda Satellaview game? :P
The Protomen enhanced my life.First time in a canon Zelda game.
Like how Spirit Tracks Zelda is seen as the first playable Zelda even though she's predated by two other games.
One Strip! One Strip!
Finally, Hylian Captain's time to shine.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
