It really shows that ST came after, as it fixed a reasonable chunk of what PH did wrong. The train stuff kind of made it more distinctive too
I remember everyone being really upset about the train in ST, but I didn't mind it. I remember still liking the game, but it's been a couple of years since I last played it
I've actually beaten Phantom Hourglass but I barely remember any of it. I just remember the final boss being pretty cool.
Spirit Tracks is absolutely a better game in nearly every way but at least PH didn't have the panflute.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I did not enjoy anything that needed the microphone.
I beat Phantom Hourglass a while back, but I don't remember much of it either aside from the ghost ship and final boss. Those would be the high points, plus having the second-best partner character in the series next to Midna. Linebeck is awesome.

Understandable, you don't often have steam trains in a fantasy setting unless its steampunk, they were probably worried the next thing would be cars and other modern forms of transport
New theme music also a boxPerhaps even a motorbike or attack robot
The Legend of Zelda: Mobile Suit Heroes
(I'd buy it.)
Holy fuck link has a gun!
Coming spring 2021, rated E for everyone
you make me want to do terrible things to you~Re: the glitches in OOT 3D, they actually made a big deal at the time about leaving them in if they were harmless, so anything they fixed probably has some side effect that was nastier than it seemed.
I've only played PH, ST, and BOTW but I've beaten none of them. Might pick up the Link's Awakening remake though I can't say for certain. Been meaning to try out ALBW but I'm not sure if I'd actually enjoy it. Like I've seen a let's play of it and it looks nice but...
One thing I’m finding frustrating about Spirit Tracks this go around is that I’m always short of rupees. One of my rules for the full-series play through is 100% completion, and that requires spending so many rupees at Beedle’s that I’m always short for other stuff (like the heart container and quiver upgrade at the town shops).
TBH I think more remakes should keep in glitches as long as they're harmless or really useful, c'mon we all know we've used an infinite money exploit in gaming at least one point or.. multiple. but I guess infinite money would be a problem in an mmo. :/
you make me want to do terrible things to you~Infinite money exploits are only a problem in MMOs if you can use it to trade with other players. If you can, it pretty crashes the player economy as inflation goes through the roof.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Hey, random question, is it possible to get the golden ending in Link's Awakening without being called a thief?
Yes?
All you have to do is complete the game with no deaths.
It IS impossible to complete the photo album though.
Yes. You only have to complete the game without dying once, although "only" might be understating it. 100% completion does require that if you're going for all of the pictures though.
Do you think this might change in the remake?
Doesn't that mean that it's impossible to get the best ending and also complete the photo album?
No. Just don't enter back into the shop after stealing something and then save after the game over.
I think you don't get called a thief unless you get zapped, though; so you can't get the golden ending and be called a thief.
Unless you just name Link THIEF! at the beginning of the game, I suppose, but that kind of misses the point.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."No, your name gets changed as soon you steal the item. Same time the picture gets taken. There's nothing stopping you from getting the best ending while collecting the photos and being called THIEF, just don't enter the shop again.
Of all the things I'm looking forward to in the remake, I have to admit that being murdered by the shopkeeper in HD is one of the biggest.
I too look forward to that.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
It also doesn't help that PH's music is overall surprisingly bad for a Zelda game.
