Dang, kinda feel like we should go over to the actual Lost thread
and talk about what frustrated us most about the show.
I really did put in an effort to like Unnatural History. I mean, CN has some incredible shows and I'd heard a lot of good stuff about it, but...
It's on Cartoon Network, and that just ruined it for me. I can't watch it without thinking "They should put Rex or Titan in this time slot."

They should develop and air more CARTOONS, period. I don't want live-action programming on the CARTOON Network. I want more quality shows like Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
I really enjoy watching most of the Law And Order series, but can't stand Criminal Intent. I don't know why; it seems like it'd be cool.
Could never get into it, at all. Ever. I like the premise behind it but the way it's executed....
People tell me it's funny and that it's not like other sitcoms, and I just say cool story, bro.

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.Again, Glee. I've watched a handful of episodes and I tried to get into it but the newer episodes are trying too hard. Frankly the only reason I gave it a chance was because everyone was obsessing over it but I couldn't find myself liking it all that much. Massive Hype Backlash.
Another vote for Glee. I really wanted to like it, because I love musicals and I'd been really wanting a quirky dramedy to watch after Pushing Daisies was canceled, but...I was only able to get about five episodes into it before I got fed up with it. I disliked most of the characters, was put off by them seeming to mock teenagers into abstinence (I got through my teenage years as a virgin without having to be a massive bitch about it, thank you very much), and most of the characters seemed to be pretty much stock stereotypes without much substance. It's possible that they started to deconstruct the stereotypes after I stopped watching (I was always hoping they would), but I hit the point to where I ran out of patience to see if they ever got there.
Current project: Cleaning up the Chrono Crusade examples one at a time. God help me.Could never get into it, at all. Ever. I like the premise behind it but the way it's executed....

This. I think that it's because the Geek/science jokes are sort of haphazardly tacked on.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!![]()
I think that's what bugs me about it too, also the whole "they're nerds, therefore they're obsessed with Star Trek" thing irritates me.

I like the blog, I like Shatner in all his hammy glory, but I just didn't find it funny. Maybe it's because most of the one liners are heavily censored to be network friendly, but it just didn't do it for me.
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.Yes, I know I'm really late on this one, but I didn't see until this evening.
I didn't like Lost and Heroes ~S2 onwards. Really really liked the the first season, then it changed somewhere, then it sucked for me. I'm going to give them another go over winter break.
The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret. Full stop. David Cross? Will Arnett? On a British comedy? Sign me up.
But the Cringe Comedy. Oh dear fucking God the Cringe Comedy. It's painful, really it is, I can't sit through the show for five fucking seconds without pausing it and preparing myself for the inevitable shame. I have never watched another show where I actually have to pause the program to brace myself for a joke but it's even more painful if I don't. Eventually I just gave up trying and stopped watching all together.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Minute To Win It. It's got enough cool elements (Super Coin's Crowning Music Of Awesome, for example) that I want to like it, but there's two things that really put a damper on it:
First, it seems like they have to spend half of every episode showing a sob story about the current contestant, and apparently they're also contractually obligated to ham it up to Narm levels every time. It results in Mood Whiplash in the worst way I've seen in a while, and it really gets old quick, to the point where I consider it a Once an Episode Dethroning Moment Of Suck.
Second is that many of the challenges seem to be highly luck-based - you have some control, but for the most part you have to hope for a lucky bounce/hit/whatever, and all you can do is do whatever technique maximizes your chances and the try to repeat enough times to get a sufficient number of successes within 60 seconds. Super Coin, for example, you just have to throw coins so that they bounce and hit in the general area, and hope you're lucky enough to have one go in. There was another one about flinging ping-pong balls with a beach towel so they bounce into an inner tube. Again, repeat as fast as you can and hope you get a lucky bounce that doesn't bounce back out. Same for the one about throwing cards so that one of them sticks into a half-watermelon. I find slot machines and bingo incredibly dull, and these challenges aren't much better. Usually during these challenges, I just ended up leaving the TV on to listen for when it's over while I play something else.
It really had potential to be So Cool Its Awesome, but in execution it was just So Okay, It's Average, probably thanks to Viewers Are Morons.

Extra 1: Poochy Ain't Stupid30 Rock. Not that's it's bad — because it certainly isn't — but for some reason, I just don't care about it. I've enjoyed every episode I happened to have run into, but I never had the motivation to keep following it.
Visit my blog! —- http://www.gatesindependent.blogspot.com/Anyone remember Dream On? It should have an article on TV Tropes...
From Wikipedia: Dream On is an American adult-themed situation comedy about single New Yorker Martin Tupper. The show used a gimmick where old black and white clips were used to punctuate the main character's feelings or thoughts. It was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the team who would later create the TV show Friends, and ran for six seasons on HBO between 1990 and 1996.
Here's some footage of the opening and closing theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PpFwH_OObA
Anyway, I used to watch it back in the day for the sex and have been trying to get back into it. It's hit and miss due to the influence factor.
I wanted to like The Wire, because I enjoy police shows I thought Mc Nulty was a good lead character. It was a bit slow to start, but I figured I'd give it a chance to "get good." It never did. It's very boring.
Part of the problem was its focus on the "American street culture" or whatever. I'm not American so I couldn't really relate. And the whole black American subculture of hip-hop and baggy clothing and the slang really gets on my nerves.

I couldn't get into Lost at all. I found the everyone involved in the Love Triangle insipid. But the show completely lost me when they introduced The Others. I wanted it to be about the crash survivors trying to hold civilization together, but it really walked away from the quickly. I also found the use of philosophers names without any connection to the philosophy of those philosophers really annoying — Rousseau was about the least Rousseauian character evah.
I watched some Battlestar because the boy was excited about it. I lost interest almost immediately because it was pretentious and boring, he lost interest shortly after when he realized the cyclons were not robots.
I really wanted to like How I Met Your Mother because it has Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris, but it's just so meh. Meh I tell you, meh! Very been there, done that, seen it in syndication.
Some of you look a little more Asian to me.
