[up]Okay, no. That is just wrong. The Star Tower, for example, which is the capital for the Order of Loremasters in ME, does not have an increased garrison. Increased garrisons are generally found in the capital of certain important factions, like Altdorf or Naggaroth.

But, if a different faction were to take over these capitals, they'd still get the increased garrison, even though it is no longer a capital. Because the garrison was never a property of the capital to begin with, but of the city itself.

Would they? I suppose I might be misremembering, but I don't recall having an increased garrison with occupied Altdorf as the Vampire counts.

Oh well, you seem to know more, so I'll defer to your knowledge.

Still, increased garrisons are found in factions' original capitals, I know that much.

In some factions' original capitals, yes.

All right now when are we getting Thanquol

Because after what CA made of Tretch, I'm sure Thanquol will be hilarious.

Well, the FLC has been announced and it is Tik'taq'to. Internet Backdraft is in full swing on the forums, ye be warned. Tik is not even out yet and he's already getting the The Scrappy treatment.

Pffrt, any pick would've caused Internet Backdraft. Everybody has their own favourite characters in Warhammer, and they can't all make it in.

Of course, I'm not actually a Warhammer fan, so I can't actually know if there are more deserving lords than this, but I guess that means I've successfully avoided getting pissed off myself.

Like the name, though.

Yeah, there’s a lot of Lizardmen names like that.

But we haven’t really gotten a lord focused on flying units yet, so this is a nice change of pace.

I do really want to have Nakai at some point though.

https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/239552/any-info-where-tick-tack-tm-starts-on-me/p2 Apparently, Tik-taq'to starts in the Southlands next to the Vulture Mountains. I'm honestly worried. I REALLY hope this doesn't kill any chance of a possible Araby DLC, but on the other hand land of the Dervishes is still there and all of their main cities are free. They could easily remove the Bretonnian placeholders. EDIT: They're adding Tlaqua and a chunk of the Southlands back in. I kind of like that they're adding bits and pieces in with each DLC.

There's some legitimate criticism to be had, though - mainly that the character buffs flying units and the unit that apparently synergises best with him is DLC-only - CA even lampshaded that on livestream when they disbanded his starting flying unit to get the DLC one because "they're better for him".

So, having looked at a bit more info on the Tik'taq'to, he seems like a very fun lord to play. He's got some very fun unique campaign abilities, and the upgrades you can get for Pteradons and Ripperdactyls might actually make them worth it. This will promote a hit-and-run style of attack, which will be quite the interesting contrast to the usual big-stompy-monster style of the Lizardmen.

Yeah, I think that, when this DLC comes out, I'll be starting a Tik'taq'to campaign. After finishing a round as Ikit Claw, of course. Skaven are still higher on my list than Lizards by default.

Remove Saurus and Kroxigor legendary lords, replace with Skinks. -Creative Assembly tongue

On that note, here's the community manager saying that there will be more Warhammer 2 DLC.

Wonder what else they plan on adding. I imagine just more lords at this point since they’ve covered every race and they won’t be releasing anything for a Mortal Empires race, at least not until 3 comes out.

How about a lord pack with a new lord for each faction, except Vampire Counts?[lol]

[up][up] I'd honestly be disappointed if that was the case. I definitely remember reading somewhere there would be another campaign pack down the line. I guarantee there would be people upset wondering why they can put in so much effort for Vampire Coast and not the likes of Southern Realms or Araby. The obvious answer is that the latter two are not undead.

Southern Realms aren't on the Vortex map, so I doubt we'll get them. Not to mention that Tilea and Estalia are in already overcrowded area of the map anyway.

And there’s really nothing about them in any of the books. We just know they fight via Tercios and are basically Fantasy Italy and Spain. And the Border Princes will likely never be a faction because they’re just an adventure fountain.

Well yeah I hope Kislev ends up in 3, especially since it’ll be Chaos-focused and they fight Chaos the most.

Finally did another Shogun 2 coop campaign. We played as the Otomo and Chosokabe, trying to somewhat split Japan down the middle while expanding.

This was the end result. I became shogun and everything not directly owned by either me or the Chosokabe player is a vassal clan - at some point I just couldn't be bothered with rebuilding and managing conquered settlements myself, so I just started creating vassals.

These vassals are also the only non-Christian clans left in Japan - the Otomo start out as Christian and the Chosokabe player converted as soon as he could. He didn't really use any matchlock units, relying heavily on bow units instead.

The game actually started getting easier after we took Toky and had united half the island under our control, as the east was mainly dominated by only a few clans: The Ikko-Ikki, the Takeda, the Hojo, the Hatekeyama and the Honma. The latter managed to not only get a foothold on the main island, but also expand southwards, essentially controlling a large area spanning from one coast to the other.

Turns out missionaries are OP. I basically took a page out of the Ikko-Ikki's book, inciting Chrisitan revolts left and right, leaving everything east of Tokyo a burning mess. While the Chosokabe player actually fought a lot of battles against real clans, most of my battles at this point were mop-up operations to get rid of the Christian rebels I created.

As we were the only Christian clans, we easily achieved naval superiority as soon as we manifactured enough Nanban trade ships, allowing us to shut down any attempts at navally invading our western territories. The AI also kept trying to send trade ships over to take some of the external trade routes, but all of them ended at the bottom of the ocean thanks to the massive fleet I had patrolling the northern sea.

The Ikko-Ikki were the first of the last great clans to fall - [Karmic Death their last settlement was taken over by a Christian revolt]]. The Honma were funnily enough the last clan to fall. While I did take their capital at one point, I actually tried to force them into vassalage - they betrayed me shortly after and I sent two armies to siege them out in their remaining fortress in Uzen.

We actually had already won gameplay-wise at this point, as me diplo-vassalising the Satake (a minor clan that broke away at some point due to a rebellion) pushed us past the province limit required to win the game, but we decided to just finish the whole map. That clan got murdered by a rebellion later on and the Chosokabe player took over the settlement.
