I've seen a bunch of examples that kinda use it the other way around - the trope Awesome Yet Practical is how practicality is awesome in its own way, right? Many examples around the wiki (video games, it seems) are more aversions of Awesome, but Impractical, in which the awesome thing is a logical and practical thing to use.

But I have never made a thread like before, so I don't know what to specifically suggest, between changing all the aforementioned examples to call them aversions of Awesome But Impractical, or does anyone think it might be significant enough to deserve a page of its own of "Use awesome stuff, it's only logical."?

Also, I think I titled this in an incorrect manner.

Why do none of these threads move anywhere? I thought we came to Awesome Yet Practical=> the point where something is Awesome Yet Practical rather than Awesome, but Impractical (where it's awesome but has too many drawbacks to be reliable) and Boring, but Practical (something is dull but gets shit done).

I don't think I quite understand what you're saying it should be.

The three tropes Awesome, but Impractical, Boring, but Practical and Awesome Yet Practical are supposed to be directly related.

Ok, but what I'm saying is that Awesome Yet Practical is frequently misused, as the trope page says it's supposed to be "This is practical, which makes it awesome.", yet a common use of it on the wiki is "This is awesome, but it's also practical!", which means a common use of Awesome Yet Practical is really an aversion of Awesome, but Impractical.

The second one is what it's supposed to be. It just needs to be rewritten and the examples sorted.

You mean the "This is awesome, but it's also practical.", right? If so, that seems contrary to what Awesome Yet Practical's laconic says of it.

The definition was what Vuther says it should be. The description has since been rewritten heavily, and it now appears to be closer to the literal "awesome, yet practical" that it was frequently used as. However, if this is in fact a desired change, the laconic page should be updated.

I suppose that would be preferable and less confusing than what it says now, since Boring and Awesome when it comes to practicality is a pretty fine line.

^^ When was it rewritten? The description I'm seeing is still all over the place. I have difficulty extracting a definition from it at all, let alone the one it's supposed to have.

It was supposed to be rewritten. Nobody got around to it from the last thread on the subject.
