Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

The opening cutscene is kinda cool at least.
Otherwise, no, the game is not good. At all.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I need to check if the game has a twin stick control scheme but yeah last I remember it was pretty crap.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."So, lots of sidequests. Hopefully not just mostly fetch quests.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.They have mentioned in the past that the second game's inspiration is Horizon Zero Dawn. So expect a lot of that.
Which... would probably make it a lot like Xenoblade 3.
Speaking of Xenoblade 3, I wonder if they will have the all party members are active at a time thing that game does.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."With the talk of the VII games, I'm reminded of how I first heard about this series.
The first Final Fantasy game I ever saw was VII. I was at a family friend's house, and they had the game. I got to see two parts of the game: the opening up to the Scorpion mech fight, and parts of the endgame up to the final boss battle against Safer Sephiroth.
The funny part is that because those were the only two parts I saw, I didn't get to see one of the key characters at all: Aerith. My first exposure to Aerith was through Kingdom Hearts, of all places. I didn't know which Final Fantasy game she was from or how iconic she was to the series.
And then one day, I found an AMV that someone made using clips from Final Fantasy VII, and that AMV taught me two things: the first was that Aerith came from VII, and the second was that Aerith gets stabbed by Sephiroth.
So yeah, I learned about one of the most iconic scenes in the series by complete accident. Thankfully for me, I've never been too adverse about running into spoilers.

There is a possibility. They never really gave you an actual choice on party members in VIIR, having everyone be available would make things quite interesting.
At the end of Intergrade the party are sticking together on the journey to Kalm.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.How good is it?
My bro loved that game lol.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Yasumi Matsuno asked a few days ago how you would need Cid in a Tactics remaster.
I would just make sure Meliadoul came in earlier.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Cid's destiny is sitting down and drinking his God damn tea.
-Witty line-Sounds like the character sidequests in Tales games.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Nonononono! He makes other people drink their goddamn tea. God dammit!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Watch there be a sidequest about it, with your party agreeing that it IS the best tea they've ever had.
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"IX already has a sidequest about finding special coffees.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.And infuriating one at that, with such a tiny window to go far out of the way to accomplish it.
FFIX is like Inverse Urban Legend of Zelda: The Game.
-Witty line-> Nonononono! He makes other people drink their goddamn tea. God dammit!
that was !Old Cid,!New Cid is politer, kinder and never raises his voice or is mean to his assistant
New theme music also a boxCid just wants the world to switch from using mako as an edgy source to using oil as an energy source! It’s much healthier for Gaia!
