How do I embed an avatar picture in my posts?
You just need to copy the image address and paste it into your post.
Does anybody know how to post a long string of random characters without the formatting screwing it up?
Why do you want to do that?
I want to make some Malbolge code as my signature.

Is Thread Antinecromancy Game basically a spam thread? People just put random content over there. It has been running for like a decade, but still...
(The forums are definitely way more PG-13 than the main wiki.)

It's really just a thread that has no fixed topic so it never has to be necroed.
Is it unfair to participate in avatar gallery games if you only have one avatar in your gallery?
To me, I've never felt like changing my avatar on this site, and this shtick provides a nice twist to such games. Also, I only participate once on avatar games.
Maybe not "unfair" exactly, but it makes it less interesting for the next player, especially in "what avatar from the above gallery" games, since they'll only have one avatar to choose from and we already know what the answer will have to be.
(Also, you can have more avatars in your gallery without having to change it regularly, you can keep setting it back to the same avatar as before after uploading new ones, if that's what you mean... though if you specifically want your gallery to consist of only one avatar that's fine too)
Yeah, you can have other avatars in your gallery without actually using them besides for games.
What really kind of seemed unfair though was your insistence that the troper below you use Silver, in a game that was specifically about choosing an avatar they liked. Your demand that they play the way you wanted them to went against the entire spirit of the game, which was "the poster below you checks your gallery and picks one of the avatars from it".
There are some avatar games that only require one avatar, and those are fine to only use Silver for, but once it gets to the "pick from your/the above gallery" games, you're really limiting the experience by only having (or allowing the use of) one avatar.

Agreed. Having only one avatar takes away from the freedom of choice in these games.
Seriously, Panda, you might want to think about growing your gallery if you intend to play these games. You're really limiting yourself and others- your post in "Find This In Your Gallery" kinda bugged me because you're breaking the rules of the game by stretching the meaning of the post in that way. All we ask is that you either allow people to play these games properly or you find games you can play with just one avatar.

I only participate in those kind of games once, and I'm done. Also it's fun to connect Silver to everything.
What you need to understand is that while it's fun for you, it's not so fun for the people who have to play the game after you. Like, by all means, play these games with Silver, just be courteous to other players who might enjoy having the option to play how they want- whether that's with Silver or another avatar. And, you know, make sure it's not an absolute shoehorn.

yeah if u wanna play avatar-related games it might be better to have more than one avatar in ur gallery
And furthermore, why did you even post in the ďavatar sharingĒ thread if you explicitly did not want any avatars shared with you? That makes no sense.
In short, DO NOT post in threads that rely on a userís entire avatar gallery.

No offense (I might sound a little mean), but if you donít even want another avatar, why play the game? One avatar is way too little. Thatís just forcing the next person to have your one and only avatar, which totally goes against the style of the game. Itís like not actually putting in a gift in a gift exchange and forcing someone else to give you one.
Itís just totally not cool playing in a game where you have to share avatars, not only saying that you donít want to actually receive an avatar, but then having no variety yourself to choose from.
I personally, would only participate in these games when I have ten avatars, or two rows.
Eight isnít bad at all, and since you have a lot of variety in your gallery, itís ok. But having like eight pictures of an OC of yours...maybe not.

Yeah, sorry, I only have 8. but trust me, Iím gonna get more.
I also saw one user who has no avatars at all participate in one of these games. What the hell were they expecting? Seriously, what? I want to know, now.
8 is fine, Guma. All that really matters is having a little variety. Mine is relatively small but there's enough variety for me to play the games pretty easily.
And Panda, to be clear, we're not asking you to not play these forum games, but that if you want to, to please be considerate not only of the game's rules but of the other people playing.
(I have 3 Puyo avatars, which may be a problem.)
EDIT: Deleted one of them.

x5 Because I didn't understand what "sharing" did.
Edited by PrincessPandaTrope on Sep 11th 2020 at 10:25:13 AM
Having several avatars from the same series in a limited gallery isn't really an issue, especially if they're different characters (up to you though)
Sharing is used to gift an avatar that one user has to another. Also unlike the avatar upload feature that will override your old avatar with the new one (though you can always switch back to your old avatar after every upload), sharing won't change your avatar automatically
