I have a question: So, the threads here are mainly based on the personality you create for your avatar. What if you want to change your personality?
As you can probably tell, I'm currently supposed to be an Ax-Crazy Monster Clown-ish villain. But I've decided that I want to be a genuinely friendly Non-Ironic Clown instead. I'm going to change my avatar, my signature, everything. (Except my relationship status. That part is perfect!)
What I want to know is, is there anything special I have to do? Surely I don't have to go back and rewrite everything I've said, right? Surely I can just do my little HeelĖFace Turn right now?
Actually, never mind. I've decided that I should just go ahead and make the changes. By the next time I post in the forums, I'll be a new cat!
I'm suggesting we get some straight rules on thread necroing on this section of the forum. I'd suggest 1 year max, but I'm up for consideration.
uhm, you dont need to go back and change every one of your posts
people here switch between avatars on a whim, playing as many different characters, so, especially once youve been around for a fairly long time, going back and changing all your posts to match would be pointless and far too much effort
oh wait i seem to have misinterpreted the question. youre playing an author avatar and just want to change the way you play them, right? yeah theres not really any rules for that just go crazy

I have another question. There are many threads along the lines of "Which avatar in the above gallery is the most X?" or "Which of your avatars could X", which require you to copy an avatar into your post. How do you do that?
Thank you! That's been bugging me.

You put your mouse over the avatar in question, right click (or whatever alternative your system allows), and select "Copy image address". After that, you paste the address in your post. The avatar will appear automatically once it's posted.
What I'm about to say isn't quite a rule, but more of a tip.
If you top a page, try going back to the previous page to see if you ninja'd anyone. I've done this and it helps out a lot.

Question: How does one go about making the first post of a thread they created appear at the top of every page? Like this thread.

You have to ask a moderator to essentially pin that post. I forgot the actual term for it, but only they can do so.
Are there specific rules about necroing for Forum games? I Necroed a game and it got locked, even though there was nothing wrong with it when it died.
i think if its longer than like a month or two old its against the rules to necro
No, no one is in trouble, this modhat and pink post is 'cause this is official information, 'k?
Generally, if a game has petered out , necroing it after more than a month or so is iffy. We won't lock it immediately, but we will keep an eye on it to see if it's taking off again, or if it's only one or two people doing rescue breathing to keep it active.
If it was started a month or more ago, but has less than one page worth of replies, please don't necro it at all. If it was started a month or more ago, and never even got a second post, just don't necro it.
Anything six-months or more dead — look at the last couple pages , timestamps and number of different posters. If it appears that only a few people were keeping it alive then, don't necro it. If it ended abruptly, or for no reason you can see, ask one of the mods in a PM before you necro it.
Games that have been dead for a year — just leave them to decompose in peace. (Actually, most of those will be locked, eventually.)

If a game is too old or had too few people posting on it to be necroed, we have to start a "Version 2" of that thread, right? I don't have any specific threads in mind, I'm just asking.

Actually, I just realized that there is a particular thread...
Is there already a forum game based off of Troperithmetic?
Yes, please do that. It's much preferred to trying to revive a dead game. And again, if it never really took off in the first place, consider whether there's any reason to think it will do better the second time.
I'd join that game.
Alright, I'm assuming there isn't.
This is James Lee Mc Kigney. (Grayest Odin is my new account.) I found the Continue the Story game called "Super Smash Bros. The Animated Series" back from long ago, and I am considering making a reboot of the series. Still the same animation studios lead by Dreamworks Animation (with the same 4 million dollars per episode budget) Still in prime time syndication, only it is updated in multiple ways taking in account Smash Ultimate (As it will reflect in the promo sent to various TV Networks.)
Just give me till the 7th of December to cook up a promo for the stations.
Edit: Got it made. New version since old one necroed.

Can we please lock the ďpost what you have copied and add (specific phrase)Ē games? They have little variety, and are ultimately pushing the limits on what can be called a ďgameĒ.
I mean, it is fun to see what happens when you add a specific phrase to a sentence.
Would it be acceptable to do a double post if the the thread has fallen on the 2nd page?
Yes, it's acceptable to bump like that. But also question whether or not you should just let the thread die.
