This movie made me love Disney again.

Here's why:

^ Don't fight it. This is obviously just more proof of how amazing it is.

Yeah, but now this thread's gonna get locked.

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.

I love this movie. I love everything about it. The plot is probably the most relatable of every Disney film, and music is amazing, the story is particularly touching, and it introduced us to Frollo, who may very well be the best Disney villain ever.

Fixed. Frollo's really probably the worst of all the villains. I mean, he attempted genocide didn't he?

As for characterization, yeah he had the most characterization of any of the Disney villains.

I think he meant best, character-wise.

You've got issues if you think Frollo is a lame villain.

I think this can be different from the other Hunchback thread, because this would be more specific towards the Disney adaptation.

IMHO, this would be one of the stronger Disney musicals musicwise (particularly with God Help the Outcasts and Hellfire), and it tends to be dark by Disney musical standards, but it's still essentially Disney musical fare. Still lighthearted, with a happy ending and some happy, upbeat songs (like Topsy Turvy, which I still enjoy). One major weakness is the Disneyfication of (almost, if not all) every character. Unlike the novel for example, Claude Frollo had very little to no redeemable personality, and Captain Phoebus was neither dead nor a bastard. I still prefer films like Aladdin overall, but it's not bad.
