Yeah, pull that. All I see right now is a city getting destroyed but not why.
You know I just had a funny idea. Lemme try to make a comic for this.

5 but the wording seems a little clunky; i think swapping the pairs of sentences in both the upper and lower speech balloons in the last panel would read nicer.
edit: or it could be dialogue-less, with just a sound effect of an explosion.

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...![]()
I had a thought about your comment and tried to piece it together in my head to see how it worked; the general flow was supposed to be "Remind me why we committed to this, because this feels pointless" rather than "This feels pointless, so remind me why we committed to this". Basically question first and then add the bit of Fridge Logic — swapping the sentences around didn't feel like it would flow much better and underline the character's confusion/annoyance because then it would get framed as them just asking instead of being mildly interrogative and actually questioning the decision being made. Removing the dialogue could kill the context and make it less effective than I intended.
That said if people really want to, I could still make these extra versions and see if they do work better (cannot this instant but I can later). The above is simply what I personally think but I'm happy to adjust if other people disagree with that.
We've got plenty of consensus for 5. I'm good with it as is, but I'll give some time for alternate takes if that's preferred.
I'm waiting to see if anyone else besides ozchess voices an interest in alternate takes she has described before I spend some time making them (so that the effort doesn't go to waste if people still end up preferring 5 for example).
I think it's been long enough. 5's in and tagged; caption?
I put the cite to ~Eggy0 in the tag but it can be added below the pic as well.

It shows a city being nuked without any mention as to what exactly caused it to be destroyed in the first place.
Maybe adding a picture of zombies roaming the city could help?
