That said, it might be better if we do a collage of different looking tengu like what we've been doing with other monster tropes recently. I'll see if I can make one in my spare time.
Ready to rock?Okay, managed to put together a decent collage using the OP's photo and others I managed to find, aiming for a blend between the two primary types (bird-based and long-nosed). Sorry about 3/4 being anime or anime-like, it was a struggle to find good images from other mediums for some reason

I'm a bit apprehensive about the anime woman (I assume from genshin impact) because she doesn't really scan as a tengu if you don't notice the mask on her head, which can easily be mistaken for a hat. the main other identifier, her wings, are mostly cropped out. she sticks out to me as not readily belonging.
I don't get the arguments against Sara. I think it's nice to have a Cute Monster Girl version that is more humanoid than the others.

it's not that I think a Cute Monster Girl can't belong, but that this particular example wouldn't track to me as a tengu if it wasn't in an image with other tengu.
tentative
to the pathfinder tengu, or if we want an example of a Cute Monster Girl that I think more clearly scans as being based on a tengu (overtly red color scheme, long-nosed mask on her face, carrying a leaf fan) I can offer Tenjo from Star★Twinkle Pretty Cure. (I realize that might mess with the balance of wanting bird-based ones and long-nosed ones, though. Hmm)

My problem with that is that it would ruin the balance between two mostly bird-based tengu and two mostly long-nose-based tongue which I tried to capture. (Also she doesn't read to me as "tengu" much at all without context but that's just my opinion)
I suppose the Pathfinder tengu would work better in that regard, but I'm also concerned that it just looks like a generic Bird Person at wikisize. Sara at least has several identifiable features you could make out even at wikisize. I can try remaking the collage sometime later, but I'm really not convinced.
