Best way to describe Peripeteia would be "Deus Ex and waifu designs taking place in cyberpunk post-cold-war Poland." Certainly a weird mish-mash, but it kinda works. The Deus Ex comparison is apt on several levels, not just because of how it shares a similar cyberpunk setting with you playing a cyborg traversing a dark and grimy city, but also due to the graphics and even the constant limited inventory shuffling. Cool part has to be the environmental parkour: you can grab onto or climb a surprising amount of surfaces, and the city is extremely vertical with all sorts of ledges, fire exits or tunnels to explore, meaning you're gonna be using those skills often.
I've played a demo of it over a year ago, and given the first impressions of the latest version I'm seeing online the game's world being largely empty is not only still true, but intentional. Also, despite being an immersive sim you can't carry over your gear from one level to the next. Kinda torn on that last bit since while it'll definitely stop players from carrying around a ton of loot, it also sorta ruins the whole point of exploring since you can't keep anything you find.
The game will be released in Steam Early Access a couple of days now on February 22nd, but like I said, if you're unsure there's also a demo on the store page to try out if you like.
