I’ve heard speculation that HALL effect sticks would have had issues with the magnetic docking, but I’d need to know more about the hardware to know if that’s true.
My musician pageI'm extremely doubtful drift isn't fixed. They know very well it was a problem that gave them a lot of bad PR, and they don't need to do anything fancy to prevent it. The joycons are the odd ones out for having this problem so consistently. It's not an inherent problem of the technology.
Here's the thing. The Switch 2 is expensive, but in terms of worth it's not much more so than the Switch. The first Switch cost $300 at launch, but $300 in 2017 is closer to $400 today. The Switch 2 still costs more, but it's not purely out of greed.
It's not just the system's price people have been complaining about, but the price increase on the games as well. Switch games were and still are at most $60 while Switch 2 games have been bumped up to $70 and $80.
Although with that being said, Nintendo's not the only seller to engage in this and they're certainly not the worst. Sellers on eBay, Amazon, and stores like Game Stop have been selling used copies for almost to above $100.

Honestly, I haven't seen much pushback on the console price itself. It's still a bit of a jump over the Switch's $299 and OLED model's $349, but I think most people are willing to accept the baseline $449 when that's only a bit more than a Steam Deck's 64GB model and on-par/less than a PS 5 and especially Xbox Series X.
It's mostly just the game pricing that's got everyone dizzy, which... we've exhausted the discussion about pretty thoroughly.
$80 is one thing, but I have a bridge to sell anyone surprised at Nintendo following the competition's lead on seventy-dollar games.
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsI tried to preörder the bundle today but they're already sold out. Guess I'll just have to wait for Smyth's to start selling them.
Ukrainian Red CrossThe system and games seem to be well liked. It's just pricing on Mario Kart (which has a $30 discount for the first few months at minimum), the tech demo not being a pack-in (it's the principle, not a game people actually care about), and to a lesser extent old games not dropping in price. Probably won't outsell the Switch 1 in the long-run, but overall it looks well-positioned overall as long as real world issues don't make video games not worth caring about.

tbf I'm looking more about game impressions, what levels they saw, what levels have, etc.
Though I keep seeing stuff like how Mario Kart racers are more vibrant and emotive now.
From the looks of it, apparently Tour isn't a tech demo, more like a full game similar to 1-2 Switch or Labo. Since it's not a manual like what people like to say, but more of a full experience and trivia like how magnets work and how it affects systems. Still something I won't buy, but at least it's... meatier. And honestly irks me 1-2 Switch got off from this kind of criticism despite costing more.

I'm likely not getting Tour either... but only because I get the distinct impression I'm not going to need to get Tour. I don't imagine the Switch 2 is going to be THAT complicated to figure out.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.I might get Welcome Tour out of curiosity (as much as I'd rather it be free, $10 is at least a thrifty amount), but yeah it doesn't seem too essential to the whole experience either. Main draw seems to be getting to see the console's internals, which is pretty rare of Nintendo to do in any capacity.
Mario Kart World (as a pack-in) and Street Fighter 6 are the main two games I'm eyeing at the moment, and thankfully they're both launch day. After that I'm set until... Prime 4, I keep forgetting that's this year.
Would the Welcome Tour be considered the Switch 2 equivalent to Wii Play?
Your melody still remains in this room and it rings

Judging by that article, TMR sensors are another possible solution, so if they're not using Hall effect sticks, hopefully they're using TMR instead.
