Big Applesauce is probably the closest we have.
I don't just Wiki Talk the talk. I Wiki Walk the walk.
There's also The Big Rotten Apple, but it's also not an ideal match.
Regardless, this trope the OP proposes looks unique enough to warrant discussion. Perhaps a supertrope specifically about fictional depictions of New York City that can include Big Applesauce, The Big Rotten Apple, and other similar tropes.
Kirby is awesome.A supertrope? That just sounds like "People live in New York City," which is chairs.

I don't just Wiki Talk the talk. I Wiki Walk the walk.Regarding the "removing New York from this" part, that sounds like Unfazed Everyman or Unusually Uninteresting Sight. Some Nutty Publicity Stunt might be a more specific version of this as well.
(Generally questions like this go in Trope Finder if you're looking for an existing trope or the Trope Idea Sounding Board if you're proposing a new one.)

I'm looking for something that may come off as "very particular" but bear with me. I'm looking for the trope that has to do with when New Yorkers come across a strange thing and shrug it off as "normal New York weirdness". An example would be from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles where Raphael rolls over the hood of a Taxi for the driver to just state that they saw a giant turtle in a trench coat... and then proceeds to ask where the passenger is going.
I notice this trope was more prominent back in the say 80's and 90's and was probably riding the news about the crime and such climbing in New York during the 80's and 90's. I also realize that removing the "New York" from this will probably fit another trope of an "unfazable everyman" or something of the like, but I felt several movies might have cemented a good reason for it's own trope, or maybe an "honorable mention" in such a generalized trope entry.
